That SF Ripper is wild, and I think the warm colors are a winning combo! Your Python Viper hits all the right beats... this build shows why those colors work so well together!

Sonic Fighters Ripper and Python Viper both look great. Would've never thought of building onto the Sonic Fighter roster but it works.

I have an easy one tonight. Honestly, you could say that Avacslab made this kitbash. At first, I tried making the head and chest plate with Marauders parts, but he just did not look enough like a Ferret. I broke down and grabbed the kit from the website.
I dislike the red shoes on the vintage Ferret. I elected to tamp that down a little bit by just painting red soles. Other than that, he is just another brick in the collection. IRON GRENADIERS FERRET (V1): 1988 ![]() ![]() ![]() In other news, I made a Tiger Force Steeler a couple years ago, but, ![]() I have since become increasingly disappointed in that kitbash, so yesterday, I broke down my TF Steeler to use for parts. The torso will be used for a Tiger Force Beach-Head ![]() And the legs will be used for Tiger Force Recondo ![]()

That IG Ferret is great my man, really nice combo and color work!
It's not an AvacLabs kitbash btw, it's a Rob and Coby collaboration! ![]() He makes more figures possible with his amazing kits, and it's up to you to put the rest together (build & paint), to bring your vision to life!! |

Tiger Force Steeler looked good, but I'm sure Beachhead will be, too!

Thank you, gentlemen!
So, I made the decision to break apart one of my long-standing kitbashes, Tiger Force Steeler (above). After that, I felt I wanted to revise another long-standing kitbash, Cesspool. Cesspool is a great character. He is a bit like the Joker, going crazy after a horrible accident. The vintage figure was very nicely detailed and was probably the best thing to come out of the Eco-Warriors. Now, back when I did my first version of Cesspool, I made him a CEO-type figure with a bad scar, but otherwise a sane business tycoon. My second version of Cesspool was that same CEO character, but dressed in battle-togs. I painted some green splotches to show that he wades in toxic sludge. ![]() Now that version is just fine, no complaints, but I wanted to tweak Cesspool a tiny bit to break up a lot of the dark blue that informs most of this kitbash. I wanted to introduce some of the teal that appears on the modern figure. I also thought about making his scar a little bit more horrific. To that, I drilled a tiny hole where his eye was and darkened the scar to make it much more intense. At the same time, though, I repainted the face to get rid of the white mustache. The above version of Cesspool employs a couple parts that I just do not like anymore. I no longer really like the fully-colored gloves. Nowadays, I prefer the black gloves with colored pads. Also, I do not really like the tactical helmets. The above Cesspool uses a 2008 Torch backpack, which I think was a misstep. I think Cesspool needs a huge, gaudy backpack. That will come later. I wanted to change the Cobra symbol from dark red to white to let it pop a bit better and I got rid of the silly toxic splotches. CESSPOOL (V1): 1991 ![]() ![]() ![]()

my only critique is that I feel like he really needs a slime-sprayer of some kind. But I assume that will come with the new gaudy pack. Otherwise, a typical top-notch Rob custom.
