Next up is what I like to think of the Frank Springer/Rod Whigham version of Deep Six. Now, please don’t think I am so naive as to assume that just slapping a Dollar General Duke head on a Dollar General Shipwreck body and presenting it as a custom is going to cut it. No, consider this just a sneak preview of an upcoming V1 pressure-suit Deep Six. The pictured version here was just the work of a quick 20 minutes. The only work done was to paint the hair and vest, shove some hot glue into the wrists in order to keep the MTF hands in their sockets, and crazy glue the POC Skydive ankle holster onto Deep Six’s right thigh. The figure was really only made so I can place him on the shelf in front of the pressure-suit version. This figure is, in effect, an accessory.

Thanks, although I thinks it?s more of a testament to how great that Shipwreck body is. It?s a wonderful catch-all for any Seaman or Sailor.
Oh! Also wanted to post a quick pic of a Cross Country with some updated parts. Switched out the Green/Black 86 Vest for a Light Green 86. Switched the Trooper torso with a T-Shirt torso. Kept the same Vanguard head, but used the regular Brown hair. I don?t know why I used the Light Brown hair the first time. Switched out the armored gloves for Brown Full Gloves. Crazy Glued a baseball Grenade to the bandolier. Of course gave Cross Country a proper kepi cap. And lastly, what Southern boy is complete without flask of Jack (okay, it?s a beer bottle, but it is the closest thing I could find to an essential Tennessee Bourbon). Thanks again, Dime Novel! Your updated Cross-Country is a win! I was looking at the DNL Kepi for doing the same thing with my custom Cross-Country, but just haven't gotten around to ordering the Haberdasher's Holdout set to get it... Thanks for the inspiration!

Yeah, I mainly got the DNL hat pack just for the Wild Bill Cavalry hat (not realizing it was black). Turns out the hats are super well made. They are nice and soft and even have spaces cut out for a figure?s ears should you want to pull the hats further down on the figure?s head. The pack I received even had the Ghost Rider white Stetson. I dont think normally comes inside. Highly recommended.

I really like that Cross Country. He was always one of my favorite Joes because I had the HAVOC and he was from Greensboro NC which is grew up about an hour outside of so I always thought that was cool.

Very nice tweaks and adjustments to Cross Country, granted I thought your previous version looked fantastic. The colors blend so much better now and YES that DNL kepi cap is the bomb!
