Love that Covergirl! Some really fun details and techniques there. The neon green accents on the vest gives it a whole new feel. Also, I really like how you've made the goggles feel more integrated by removing the strap, carving along the hair line, and presumable gluing them in place. It looks really good, and again, breathes fresh life into some oft-used parts. Great work!

Of course you are absolutely right. I know there is a polite protocol to these things. In my real life, I am spectacularly taciturn. I guess I feel a tad bit of trepidation in posting comments as I feel most of you guys are working at a higher level than I am.
I do really appreciate any comments I get to my posts and, if I catch your point correctly, you may also appreciate my comments in your threads, I will certainly leave more. The final Cover Girl came out terrific, I'm glad you explained the backpack rigging & the googles look excellent & very natural, your creativity really shined on this one, making it a new fave an an already powerful thread! . Just wanted to post a quick pic if anybody is looking for easy alternate B.A.T. attachments. Got another Final Faction pack at Dollar Tree. This time it was the Cyborg pack for Sgt. Steadfast. Came with a claw, this double Gatling gun and a sort of rail gun. Now, of course this is a quick and dirty alternative and is attached to the wrist as opposed to the more accurate mid-forearm, but for $1.25, I can settle. As you might suspect, there is some light whittlin’ and painting. Unfortunately the attachment is off center owing to the stem of the gun being a mushroom clip, but again, it was pocket change.

Very creative solution for $1.25! I like that very much and that paint is flawless!
Now I have to pay Dollar Tree a visit to grab one of those Final Faction packs!

No ETA yet, but working on these guys next
Stinger Driver: this guy will play a little loose with the uniform. Going to try to use a gray Agency-Ops Dress Shirt for the torso and gray Contract-Ops legs. I want to give him sort of an evil Clutch vibe. Not so buttoned up. You know, open collar, rolled up sleeves, unbloused pants. Cobra Officer: this guy will stick to the classic look, but with a smaller helmet than the typical Cobra helmet. I’m going to make my guy African American Cesspool: this will be a big departure from the original figure. My version will be a business man with a suit. I never liked the idea of a crazed, slobbering berserker Cesspool. My Cesspool is a piece of total feces, but he will be a Francis Underwood/Lex Luthor type character who has given up being in the field. Slip Stream: pretty close match to the vintage Slip Stream but in this case, I wanted to see if I could use a World Peacekeepers head. Raptor: of course my Raptor will be a much more tech version of the character. There are no direct bird references on my version. He will have a POC Skydive jet pack. I’ve given him a hood instead of a bird cowl. I even put a pair of Wolverine’s claws on one of his hands. Wild Bill: a V1 Wild Bill is super simple. The main thing I wanted to do was use some Dime Novel accessories on him. Ripper: the main reason I’m even making this guy is cuz I finally bought a Dime Novel buck to see for myself how compatible DNL and MTF parts were. I bought the buck with the black boots and the denim pants. Perfect for Ripper. This guy is still early days though. Gnawgahyde: again, the only reason this guy is being made is because of Dime Novel. I bought the pack of hats so I could use the Cavalry hat for Wild Bill and the Prospector hat for an R.J. MacReady. In the pack was also a Stetson that I figured could be used. I also had a Brenner bald head that I wanted to use.
