I have 3 customs in the batter’s box, but they will not get finished til at least the first of the year. Coming early 2023 is Battle Ranger Snow Job, Slip Stream, and (hopefully) Star Brigade Lifeline.
Tonight, though, I wanted to preview a WIP I?ve prioritized. I had an extra Brown Haired Valkyrie head, so I figured I would try for another Cover Girl. I am pretty burned out from doing faithful customs of existing Joes. Recently, I have been more excited to try to create 90s versions of Joes that never got updates. I settled on a Battlecorps/Battle Ranger Cover Girl. In that vein I wanted to try a Cover Girl that did not ride in the Wolverine, but may take the Wolverine along with her. I wanted to put a missile launcher on her backpack and I jury rigged a portable Final Faction missile turret and popped it on her backpack. Now, since this would be a ?90s style figure, I would have my Joe card taken away from me if I did not incorporate a neon color into the design. Oh, and I finally got to use that shitty Joe Colton gun for something. Cover Girl is, of course, FAR from finished, but here?s the starting point. COVER GIRL (BATTLE RANGER)

That's one Buzzer packed with personality! Love the parts you used for this build, as they're not the "usual suspects" and then Murdoch is just brilliant! You know how to integrate bright colors and still make them pop in a cohesive way. Cover Girl is another hit, missile launcher and those BFS sheen covers are nice addons. Great work!

That Buzzer build is something, lots of respect for making the torn sleeves and painting the head! Buzzer's not really a feasible or convincing build-able character using JUST the stock parts catalog, so the work you put in to figuring out his equation is ace! Nice job man! That's great that you have found inspiration in making "Rob's 90's Battle Corps characters," the Cover Girl is off to a roaring good start! The use of Final Faction here was quite innovative, and the color choice is fun, as I like that combo and that crazy gun you gave her. *I love those leg warps on her... those are Boss Fight right? ...Whose are they? Did you paint them? They look great and can be a good fill in for me for stuff like the Planet Green Valley Ko-Gal socks. **Just a thought... You make a lot of great customs, at times at almost breakneck speeds (surprising with all of the painting you do)... but I think a lot of them get overlooked here, some of which could use some more love from the forum members, and I think a way to get more compliments/comments on them, is to provide more compliments/comments on other's threads, as I rarely see you post in anyone else's customs threads here, and I think this forum really only works as a community... the more you give, the more you get. ;-) . . I do really appreciate any comments I get to my posts and, if I catch your point correctly, you may also appreciate my comments in your threads, I will certainly leave more. So, yes, the Cover Girl boots are the sheens from the BFS green Ranger accessory pack. I got the idea to have Cover Girl wear like super expensive designer boots, but all I could think of were these boot covers. I tried to make them look like something a Kardashian would wear. I failed of course, but you get the idea. For whatever reason, while working on Cover Girl, I got it in my brain that she needed to have headgear, but using that particular Athena head really doesn’t allow for much. I got the idea to cut up a pair of goggles to make it look like they are being worn under her hair. Also, in the last pics, I realized that I didn’t really explain/show how the missile launcher is attached. I took a small Final Faction backpack and drilled a small hole in the center, then I grabbed an MTF exo-suit, popped off one of the little black dumb bell pieces that attaches the arms to the back piece. I also took off the little cup piece that it clicks into. I glued the cup piece to the bottom of the missile launcher. Then I snipped off one side of the dumb bell (so that it now resembles a microphone shape or a lollipop shape) and slid the stick part down into the backpack hole. Anyway, here is the finished Battle Ranger (or possibly Mega Marine) Cover Girl. COVER GIRL (BATTLE RANGER)!
