CLAYMORE (V1):1986 COBRA DESERT C.L.A.W.S (V1):2004 TOPSIDE (V1):1990 Beautiful work on all three Rob, your paint is always spot on! Love the throwback grey helmet on Topside and CLAWS is probably my favorite of the three. Keep them coming!! |

Next up is our friend Spirit from the Air Commandos. I had already created Version 4 of Spirit last year and I had really intended to stop there, but, you know how it is when you order from Coby (Avacslab). He’s a gentleman and a scholar and he sometimes puts a freebie in the order. Well, as luck would have it, there was another “Tracks” head sitting in the bag when I opened my order. Challenge accepted! Lo and behold, I put together another Spirit. Here he is from 1992:
SPIRIT (V3): 1992

Spirit looks awesome! Great use of that MGR flight gear to simulate his glider.

Well…they don’t get much more boring than Wild Bill V1.
I guess I shouldn’t say that, really…there are some great customs of Armadillo, Steam Roller, and Wild Card out there. Anyhoo, this guy isn’t even a real figure in my collection yet. He was just slapped together inside of two minutes using parts from other finished characters (and I promptly took him apart and returned all the parts to his respective donors: gloves back to LT. Dolphin, torso back to Short Fuze, pistols, head, and hat from Wild Bill V2). All I was really trying to do was to see if the new vest would look OK on a V1 Wild Bill. Not bad, I must say. Now I will begin the long process of putting together the best V1 Wild Bill I can. I present…a prototype of Wild Bill WILD BILL (V1): 1983

I apologize for the recently shitty pictures, but my phone got submerged in water and the cameras are shot. Just wanted to thank MJ and the other Marauders for the awesome Mayhem II event this past weekend. Thank you for the new stuff.
I was able to pick up a Cyber-Ops figure, but I want to make a B.A.T. and I do not think the Armor mask is the best translation for that (yes, I know there are chrome solid-shield heads coming and I will be getting a slew of them at the appropriate time). I wanted to put forth a couple alternatives in the meantime. B.A.T ALTERNATE HEAD 1 This first one oddly enough reminds me of the Fisher Price Clawtron figure. Just for the nostalgia aspect, I like this one. I think the black Tac Helmet evokes the B.A.T. Helmet best B.A.T. ALTERNATE HEAD 2 This one is using a Viper dome head from Avacslab. This one looks fine, too.

Rob, your phone takes great pictures man, digging the BAT you’ve done, that is awesome and Spirit Air Commandos, I wanna buy that right now if Hasbro made it, fricking wow, great job!
As for Wild Bill, the V.1, you got him done perfectly, an that yellow logo on his helmet brings the figure out even more, love it! |

Love the new batch! Spirit came out looking badass! Then LOVE how you did his glider…..probably another Rob idea I’ll need to borrow to add that bit of extra to my Air Commando Spirit. Totally awesome idea and execution.
Can’t go wrong with that Wild Bill, love the mustache. Then the tweaks you made to the Marauder BAT build are fantastic! Always love when I see this thread get an update, never disappoints!
