I love this thread for the obscure character variations. That unproduced Shipwreck looks more like Recondo or Leatherneck to me, but your MTF custom is a great portrayal of the artwork.
I also love your comments about Hasbro slinging poo at the wall and seeing what would stick. Back in the late 1980s/early 1990s with the popularity of Power Rangers and TMNT it seemed like they tried too hard to make everything neon and/or ninja to try to compete with these lines. I can't even stand Roadblock's line from Retaliation of training with Snake Eyes to try to make him seem like he has some ninja skills. When everyone is a ninja, then being a ninja is no big deal. These are awesome, well done.
But I can’t help but see them doing George Lopez’s Uncle’s heart attack skit.😂

Haha, always makes me laugh when I see you drop a new figure because it is almost always something that I am thinking about doing myself. Been doing deep dives again after getting my last Marauder order trying to use up parts and one of the things that kept catching my eye were the Battle Rangers. Awesome to see someone else shared the interest in them! Hope you knock out more of the group.
Shipwreck looks great! Pretty much a spot on build to match the artwork / prototype. Funny that they took some of the Battle Corps designs back towards Vietnam style uniforms while just adding the neon accents. Love how he came out, great job! EDIT: Then back in post 211 of this thread, is still one of my favorite customs, thanks to you I have a Rapid Fire on my shelf! Such an awesome, fun idea that you did with Super Trooper / Rapid Fire. So big thanks for sharing him and showing he could be done using Marauder parts!

I sort of like the weird customs of the aliens bursting from their chests. I never even knew Hasbro was thinking such things.

FLINT (4.2): 1995 Then, of course, there?s Star Brigade. I?m a little late on showing my Star Brigade guys (and I only have 2 so far). DUKE (V6):1994

This next one is yet another Flint and yet another Battle Ranger. I added the silver accessories just for an added pop, the artwork doesn’t show any silver.
FLINT (V4.2): 1995 Flint is my favorite Joe and I've seen customs of the Ninja Commando version (great job on yours), but I've never even heard of this one. I'm assuming he was never actually made into a figure. Love the choice to make all of the obscure versions.

I like that head for Flint. Whatever you did with Duke's backpack looks nice; I could never get that shoulder armor to work right on the figures.

Yeah, the shoulder armor is definitely not a favorite of mine. I always have to use an exacto knife and whittle the pegs down to next-to-nothing. Luckily the shoulder armor fits nicely into the side holes of the modular backpacks. You cannot see it, but I chose a red backpack to match the original color of the Star Brigade Duke back assembly.
