Amazing work!
How about next up, a GI Joe scale Fort Navarone mountain playset?

Man I LOVED MASK as a kid! It was kind of like a crossover between GIJOE and Transformers. I had Boulder Hill and always thought it was just a great playset. You did an excellent job on this. The action figures are so good, that at first glance I thought that they were the original small scale toys. Did you make the head sculpts or buy them from an online store? Because that Sly head sculpt, alone, is awesome.
I also love that you made a 4" Condor cycle! That green Ninja is a perfect match. If you could make the crossbar holding the rotor sit slightly behind the rider, I think this would work even better. So, some questions on your custom Boulder Hill. 1. Do the pieces actually "transform" out, or do you simply just "swap" them out? 2. Did you do any further customizing on the inside of the mountain, like the computer or anything? 3. What about the mountain-top "boulder" gun? That was always my favorite feature to the playset, except I wished it "transformed" like in the cartoon instead of the boulder simply falling off the top of the mountain. Great work! Jason |

Thanks fellas. Jlw, the heads in the pics (except for Vanessa’s) we’re done by Krexx for slayerdesignstudios, but the Angelforge now has their sculpts including the mask items. They have the helmets listed under armor, but the heads are mixed in with the rest. They have done quite a number of them. As for the torsos etc, I used green stuff (kneadstite).
As for your other questions, 1. Yeah, the base transforms. I’ll try to get some pics that show how. I wanted to be able to see into the gas station when the bunker was hidden, so I was able to have it fold and slide into a position under the roof. The sign has a flip down door held up by magnet, with flip out guns. It also turns left and right by a lever at the bottom. The station has a gun that swivels out from under the roof after the bunker is let down. The gas pumps turn and lever up with the guns. The bunker swings out/collapses back into the mountain. 2. I have wanted to do the energy room but felt it needed more space than the bunker would allow (and would be in a weird place if I put it behind the station or in the garage). 3. The mountain turret is definitely part of the design, but I had set joecon as my deadline to finish it and was running out of time. One thing that makes me hesitate to do it is if I mess it up it’d be hard to get it back to where it is now. I have some parts set aside for it and I want to do it. Also would like to give the bunker opening doors, designed it to allow that, but hadn’t done it yet. Thanks
