Recently got asked to finally try a new Kung Lao, but this time with a removeable hat. I've gotten a lot better with sculpting these last few months, so I decided to give it a go. It came out pretty well, so I can keep his MKX variations in mind for future projects now.
Added sculpt to the upper and lower torso, sculpted up the bracers, belt, skirt piece, knees, and boots. Glad to finally have a good use for the Cyclops hand. Got a bunch of those lying around. Resculpted the Tomax hair completely, then sculpted up the entire hat. Concept still needs some fine tuning, but it worked out pretty well. Full repaint, and all done! I'm currently working on MK customs myself but he's not one of the ones I'm making. Cool custom... I need to get into sculpting instead of always trying to find the right parts.

Nicely done. What was your sculpting technique on the hat?

I actually sculpted a flat disk first, then cut out the center, fit it to the head, and sculpted the top section on. I'm not used to sculpting hats just yet, so it's at least a starter approach. Thanks for the compliments!
