Looks great. I really gotta get off my butt and get one of these to start trying. I'm just scared about leaving marks on the figure handling them after though.

Great idea! I need to do bigger scale applicatio like these to get my money's worth on these awesome markers. I planned on doing it one DC and Marvel figures that need it, and a Star Wars Captain Phasma. But testing on some fodder Joes might be the way to go, since the tests may end up as completed works, judging by these great photos.
Two things I found are that you can always repaint scratched or dulled areas pretty easily, and that the chrome can be easily removed entirely with some 91% rubbing alcohol--acetone or goof-off not required. These chrome pens are highly recommended--but highly addictive. Once you start, you get Midas syndrome, and if one is not careful, one may end up with hundreds of Silver Surfer variants. Which isn't all bad. Look at how these came out. Thanks for sharing, and keep us posted on how the paint does with time and wear! |
