How do you know a comic book is dark and gritty? Pouches. Lots and lots of pouches. Check out these Rob Liefeld refugees kitted up with Marauder Gear.

Agreed, very gritty, but their guns aren't nearly ginormous enough! In all seriousness, those look really cool. I got into X-Men right around X-Men #1 by Chris Claremont and Jim Lee, so this look was my first real introduction to superheroes, and (don't tell anyone) but I really liked this aesthetic...

I was a 90's X-Men fan as well, so while the adult in me understands all of the pouches are a bit much, the child in me thinks these are some of the coolest X-Men figures I've ever seen.

More giant guns that apparently fire square or oval ammunition!
Oh, and if you want to make these more Liefield-esque, add some random debris to the photos so we can’t see their feet. Great customs!
