Yes. But enhanced may be a better word. Twas a quick fix with the earplug to keep Clutch//Bob from rolling out of the turret. When I was done and pulled him out, couldn't resist taking a money shot...

Cool! I never would have thought the low-light vest would work for Steeler, but it does, especially with how you have cut it down a bit and added the requisite holster. I?m also surprised how well the Resolute Duke head?s has a similar expression to ARAH Steeler. Maybe it?s how you painted it. Also impressive to see how well you?ve turned the short-lived retro lineup into 75% of O13. (85% if you count your Scarlett not pictured here ? maybe she doesn?t count since she is lacking a new body. Either way, just two or three left now?
Really enjoying your photos with the MOBAT and RAM there. Nice posing and perspective. I'd like to do some final group pictures in the near future to wrap this up. I may or may not include that Retro Scarlett or my 2020 Retro Redux (https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...ml#post5347178). Depends how the photos turn out, but the way I arrange figures doesn't like even number or 10 figures... And glad you liked the perspective. It's real hard to do anything really fancy or sophisticated on just a cell phone (no macro setting or wide-lens or whatever I really should have used). That's a big reason I wasn't going to take the MOBAT shot. But turns out the RAM shot was equally hard. I appreciate all the comments very much. Thanks everyone! |

-SF and Zap have chest strapgear from either 2011 30th Renegades Tunnel Rat or 2998 POC City Strike Snake Eyes. -Breaker's webgear is from recent Walmart Retro Collection Stalker. -Head for Zap is from 2013 Retaliation Flint. Definite dremel work is needed at its base to fit the new wide necks. -Head for Hawk is Marauders Task Force "Hank" head, with trim around the sides. Can't remember is dremel work was needed... Let me know if there are other bits you need help identifying. Meanhwile, I'm going to try and update post #1 here with links from all these Retro Rebuilds (looks like I had stopped updating the links/index when at that point). Also for builds prior to my last Grunt, I'll get updated studio shots of the final versions with recipes and notes in the next few months as I get time. |

As we countdown to SDCC 2022 we wanted to share some custom work from Hisstank.com boards member HissHissFangFan. He has been a boards member since 2017 and has amassed an impressive collection of G.I. Joe 25th Anniversary teams in different deco styles. Enjoy images from his custom portfolio and check out his custom thread on the Tank! |

One of my top three favorite customizers! I love how HHFF stays within a certain framework of parts when customizing figures. Oftentimes, his customs are simple repaints and parts swaps showing how much better a character can be with just a few tweaks.
Definitely front-page worthy!! Jason |

I'm glad that they're front paging customs again, because it seems like it stopped abruptly a few years back...
And you definitely deserve to be the one who brings it back! HM

So...
I've been out of it for the last two weeks fighting the Covids. Actually, the weekend Destro posted this I was out of town for my niece's graduation and nephew's birthday. And brought back filthy Covids. Only now am I feeling better, with time beyond just staying ahead of my daytime job. Quote:
Congrats for being front page-ed!!! Looking over all the work you?ve put in since 2017 to the present, one can?t help respecting your talent and commitment to assembling line-up after line-up with top-of-the line customized figures! Also, you have developed quite a knack for taking photos and manipulating them into awesome scenes like this iconic poster above which is now front-page news. Kudos for the recognition, and well done!

Definitely front-page worthy!! Jason I was floored back in 2017 when Cobra O13 got front paged. I intro'd with that set as I thought it had more original concepts going on than my Joe O13s, and would have a bigger impact visually when first breaking in. And it took some months before I got this Joe O13 set thread started to hopefully make as big an impact. Even before I started posting, I had always wanted this set//thread to be my "flagship" of sorts, and secretly had hoped over the years that it would one day get front-paged. So this does mean a lot, especially as I move to close out a bunch of these sets//threads in the next year... Quote:
Yep. The front-page customizing went away with the departure of Xerofall, who moderated the custom forums back then. I hope current customizers don't feel slighted from its absence in the last few years, but ServO may lack the necessary algorithms. So thanks to DESTRO for bringing this back--hopefully not just temporarily, just in time for the Classified customs era (teaser?). |
