HHFF,
I wanted to post this to your thread since you have been a great source of info on the new Retro figures. I think the paint apps on the Grunt figure must be like most factory work where it depends on if it's first shift or night shift and/or the weekend crew. The reason why I say this is because as mentioned before, I was having some issues removing the lip paint from Grunt using the identical acetone you used. So, I decided to use try to remove more of the paint off the same head sculpt, and apparently I rubbed too hard and discolored or maybe even slightly melted the lips. Well, I have 3 other Grunts. So, I picked the best looking head sculpt and went to remove the lip paint using the same acetone, and this time, the paint removed completely with one swipe! Dude, I was so happy! I actually worked on some of my O13 re-revisited customs adding the web gear from Stalker and Grunt. Grunt looks great using the retro head & hands on the POC Snake Eyes/DG Shipwreck body. My goal is to at least have pics of all the figures taken by next weekend so I can work on photo editing stuff at work (the perks of a government job! LOL!). Jason |

J: it's good to here you got a Grunt head to work. I can now cancel my stay at the psyche ward.
Let me know if the numbers/code on the different Grunts you used are different. I suspect this could alert us to an important shift in production regarding this whole paint thing. Interesting info on the 50th to Retro parts swap. I wish I had more snake eyes figures to try stuff. Maybe overall interest in ME will wane, and I can find some cheaper in the coming months, but seeing your upcoming stuff might be good enough for me. You can use you messed up Grunt head for an unmasked snake eyes maybe? |

I tried disassembling a Stalker figure as I want to see what the dark green Grunt torso would look like on the lighter camo green Stalker pelvis/legs. Bro. I haven't been able to pry the stomach piece off that pelvis piece yet. It may take a long hot water soak to get those pieces to apart. Jason |

PhotoGrid_Plus_1634538602214 by HissHissFangFang, on Flickr Another head closeup: original, repainted, vintage. Pointed out in an early post (here and/or elsewhere), the head sculpt is really good?repainted or not?and has been noted for similarities to the original vintage sculpt?s facial features?tough and hardnosed. The Resolute Duke head I previously used from June 2021 really had no chance of making it final after I got a ?real? Grunt in hand. |

Grunt with a mullet. Yes. Thanks for that. Adding to the list of things I can't unsee... Also, I'm going to have to build a platoon of new build Greenshirts to take on your CT's. |

I'm sure we will see lots. Just not at the "right" scale. I'd be interested in seeing a shrunken Classified Breaker cast. Otherwise I'll make the best of what is available, while easing into the other Joe lines for 2022...
