You must have been reading my mind from yesterday! I've been tackling this issue this weekend. Not ready to give the results yet--look at for more within the week.
Below was the task #1 this weekend. Took my Grunt, painted pouches, switched accessories, switched heads (my 25th Chuckles head may finally have a forever home this year). Makes me feel a little better about buying 3 more Stalkers this weekend... PhotoGrid_Plus_1624787669856 by HissHissFangFang, on Flickr |

Oh. I never knew that classic left thigh was a specific thing other than a generic pouch. I had a vintage Clutch around at this moment, and the pouches on both kegs are definitely sculpted differently (never noticed it until now). Where did you get this wonderful nugget of info???
Regardless, it doesn't bother me at all that this was never recreated in finer detail on modern sculpts, since I don't worry about the small details. Nope not at all... Not... Grr... We may never get true, 100% modern versions of the OG13. For example, Snake Eyes would need 2 small pockets on his right leg and an explosive pack on his left leg. Likewise, Scarlett would need a pistol on her glove and a sling shot in her back pocket. It's always been interesting to me that Snake Eyes v. 1 was never really depicted like his action figure, unlike Flash and Grand Slam, because Snake Eyes shared the same stirrup legs. Jason |

Yes, surprisingly. From early photos elsewhere, I was kinda turned off by the new bulked up body but now I'm just amazed on how well it works with the streamlined designs of the OG13. They really remind me of how the Joes were drawn by Mike Vosburg in the second year of the original Marvel comics, but with sharper detailing that doesn't make look cartoony. As long as they watch their proportions on the lower legs/arms and feet/hands while maintaining the nice sculpting (textures, creases), these won't look like Fortnite figs.
Also, I wouldn't mind doing some comic-style color versions of these guys, but I'll wait until they release more OG13 characters. Quote:
WOW!! Never knew why there was a difference until now.

Jason Still, if they release at least an accurate Flash, but use Stalker for SE, you could swap legs--once we figure out how to swap lower legs on these figures (it's one the to-do list still!!). For me, I actually like the regular boots for SE... Quote:

With Snake Eyes, the baklava and goggles seems modern enough and is an obvious choice for the character. However, I also decided to go with no masks or coverered faces for the other 12--this ruled out so many existing Joy Toy heads that I have had to wait and mess with other brand heads for some time. I almost have everyone near complete except Scarlett... Have you guys not been able to find at least Stalker? LEEE777 I figure you'd have to find alternative means since your not in the US. Turner I thought you'd be able see something in your local stores by now or pick something up at that recent convention. I'm seeing him for $18 to $24 on ebay right now. I guess any day now would also be a good time to officially announce the figure and have it officially on the Walmart website, non? |

They look great. Though, I'd say the real-life G.I. Joe is Delta Force, since both accept members from all the military branches.

Yeah, I recently saw a Walmart about an hour and 10 minutes from here that had pegs for them, but no product.
