The only thing I've been able to do so far, been working alot, is just try on the 25th vest and the MTF vest. I, of course, get the same results you did from the 25th vest. Too tight and the bottom of the vest sits way too high on his stomach. I agree that the MTF vest is too busy but it fits better, not perfect since I can only get one side to fully button up. Now if the 25th vest was the same size as the MTF vest it would be perfect. But I may have a vest that will work even better but will have to try it tomorrow night.

This is going to be tuff! I haven't compared in-hand the new Stalker with the POC Snake Eyes/DG Shipwreck figure yet. I really love that POC Snake Eyes build and I went through a lot of trouble collecting enough of those type builds to create an OG13 group. However, this Stalker figure is starting to grow on me. I just bought 2 more (total 4 now). Guess I'll have to do some soul searching this weekend. LOL!!

With Graves, I feel it needs to be as basic as possible for the ultimate Grunt. That means the basic parts and body have to be well done to carry the figure. Hasbro succeeded here by giving strong balanced body proportions and sharp looking cloth textures. The webgear is also excellent, fits well on the body and is not too bulky nor too thin. Below is the same photo in true black/white and in color. Head is repainted Resolute Duke, helmet is MTF. Colors are all Tamiya (Flat Flesh, D Green, NATO Brown). 20210622_013219~2 by HissHissFangFang, on Flickr 20210622_013219 by HissHissFangFang, on Flickr PhotoGrid_Plus_1624350901036 by HissHissFangFang, on Flickr Quote:

Jason I'm assuming you have both POC and Retro figures on hand now to physically compare them side by side, but below is a quick shot of Stalker in POC, 25th and Retro forms for comparison, mostly stripped of color (~10%) so that you all can focus on the sculpts and builds. Definitely pros and cons to all, so keep all them. This was taken two weekends ago when I first found the figures, and helped convince me to buy in. More notes and full color will be posted in the general build overview thread, once it's my turn for new info (my last post may have been a bit overload). 2021-06-14_04-57-11 by HissHissFangFang, on Flickr |
