I shouldn’t say it until I have him in hand but Destro is probably the most solid figure of the Retro line so far. We will see Friday what other figures there may be for you to to improve upon.

So...about the slow roll of the last week and half...

I've been working on converting 3 of my 1982 Cobra Set figures to post-25th style bodies using the new WM Retro HISS Driver. HISS Driver and HISS Gunner were just about done, but The FANG pilot was way behind as I had no idea how I was going to do the new head. Then I had a bit of a breakthrough two Sundays ago (with no Chiefs game to watch that day). Unfortunately I only had 3 Retro HISS Driver figures, and no extra unmodified figure to photo comparisons.

I had already bought two tanks and one loose figure off ebay, did not want to get another tank, so I waited for a decent offer on another loose figure. While waiting for the figure to arrive (arrived today), I was able to finish the FANG Pilot, all while dealing with my feelings on last weekend's Retro Wave 3 reveals (disappointment, but no rage) and reading all the reactions.

The photo above was the only shot I got before tearing into my third Retro Driver. I had been lining up these five figures (my previous ones vs the new ones) for comparison and paint check, and thought the picture above would have made a cool teaser pic--inspired by Daft Punk, Queen, Power Rangers, and other stuff. As extra filler, since I had the Destros out, I mimiced the style with him, playing up the color and the chrome. I meant to get right into my new tweaked HISS Driver but forgot to leave the 3rd Retro figure untouched for pictures for the post (and was also out of town half of last week).

More photos being taken late tonight before daylight hits. Tomorrow is expected to be sunny here, so photo time will be limited beyond tonight. Below, then, is a preview pic with my updated four figures, along with the newly arrived unmodified Retro HISS Driver--whose new parts made these upgrades possible:
