lately it seems there has been a lot of bad air going around in some peoples custom threads. whether it is constructive criticism or ill will, i think it would be best if we all could just take a step back. I for one dont give a fruit what people say about my customs, i know which ones i like and which ones didnt turn out so good.
I think we shouldn't be so sensitive about what people say about our customs. first and foremost these are toys, customizing them is a hobby. shouldnt be something to get all pissed off about. IMO what do you guys think? |

Personally if I don't like a custom, I basically don't reply to the thread. If the thread has no replies... silence speaks volumes.

If I don't like a custom or think it's cheap/sloppy/bad/ect, I tend to just keep it to myself. There's no call to hurt people's feelings, especially when it comes to a creative thing like customs.

Please stop talking. The amount of insider information that you have is exactly zero.
Know how I know this? Because you posted a declassified flyer which was meant for fun as a NEWS ITEM. No one would ever tell you anything because the VERY FIRST THING you would do is post it here. Probably incorrectly. |

Yeah the silence thing….if I see a cheapo custom I generally don’t comment.
If there is a custom that just falls a little short of the glory I will try to “help” By asking a question or giving advice which is just to be taken with a grain of salt Cause if the person posted it that is obviously what they wanted. |

I usually stay silent if I don't like a fig BUT that doesn't mean I dislike a fig just because I didn't comment. It's uncommon for me to completely dislike a figure.

my outbursts are generally due to frustration with "purists". I mean it's really cool to give Quick Kick combat boots, but it's heresy to show Shockwave without a ski mask. At the same time, every thread I've started, I've gotten a post or two from someone trying to correct me with their expertise in a matter that doesn't need correcting. If you don't like the style or more formal elements that go into a custom fine, I can take constructive critisism. If you don't like the break from tradition, get off your high horse, Hasbro does it ALL the time.

I've posted customs that hardly received any comments, but that's okay. I've liked most of the customs/repaints that I've done, and if I don't, I just re-do it. NBD. I don't think people should be mean about it, though. Think of it like music -- there are millions of songs out there. Do you like every one of them? How many of them do you REALLY like? How many of them do you really hate? You listen to the ones you really like quite often, the ones you like a little bit sometimes, and you just don't listen to the ones you don't like at all. But you don't call up Britney Spears and say "Hey, I think your stuff blows."
