Nunchuck looks great - that new camo really is perfect for him. Is that an Arashikage sticker his left leg? If so, where’s it from?
Stiletto might be a ‘bin build’ but she looks great! I always like to see the creative ways you use they WWII belt. Really dig how Scourge came out - especially the parts / colors combo on the upper body and helmet. |

Another great batch! Haha, I’ve been looking at that Funskool Skydiver as a guy I need to make after my recent Funskool run. He came out great!
The new camo is perfect for Nunchuck, the geared up Outback is awesome and really clever idea for Stiletto. Really liked that character design. Love Scourge, not sure I saw him before but he’s goofy enough that he’s another I’ll add to my list to make. Haha. Great find! Love that helmet idea! I don’t think I ever saw anyone add the mouth guard to the flight helmet before either, really awesome idea and love how it looks. Definitely gives a few more uses for the pilot helmet so really awesome spin on it.

Another great group. I seriously can't tell you how much I enjoy reading the "File Cards" that you do. I know I always bring that up, but as a kid I always felt the file cards for the Joes help set them apart as a toy line like we were getting some inside information on them. We had our imaginations sure, but having a base story for each character for me helped add to the excitement. The customs are awesome as always and I love the universe you are creating.
Thanks for the bit of a nostalgia trip this morning as I looked over all of these and memories of reading Joe file cards as a kid made me smile.

There have been great customs in these last batches, I think Blood Ninja and Yaku are my favourites. The use of the mask on the flight helmet for Scourge is genius and definitely something I will be "copying"

Thanks Flint, I agree that the file cards went a long way growing up! I am glad you enjoy my "Universe" bios so much. I cobble them together after some initial thoughts, & am glad that some of the viewers here take the time to read them, as they are a 'Tank exclusive" lol... & I like to have a little story to go with my pics! You bet! Much more to come! Quote:

NEW RECRUITS!!!!!
#206/X24. VANGUARD (OUTLAWS VERSION) (based on GI Joe ARAH "Falcon") The Outlaws Outlaws version/Version 3 Origin: USA Season 8 Growing up GI Joe The Movie is really what made Joe rise to the top for me. I enjoyed Joe but with competitors like MOTU & Transformers, it was always a fight. After the Movie I went hardcore, immediately getting Falcon from my local K-mart, other Joes like Serpentor & Zarana from Tons Of Toys & started backtracking on earlier figures as my friends were growing out of massive collections and I was just eating them up for quick/cheap sales! My small collection grew very quickly within a year to a substantial one with my brothers. With that said, Falcon (like Hot Rod in Transformers The Movie) was a stand out character for me. One I related to & always loved. This 3rd version tributes the original release, and my favorite version of the character. He was a candidate for both the 100th & 200th figure, but the stars finally aligned when the Jungle Ops body dropped & I thought about revisiting him as an "Ultimate" version. *When the Jungle Ops cloth legs & rolled sleeves come out I will swap them out, but for now, I present to you one of my all-time favorite Joes, LT. Falcon '87 tribute! EX-MARAUDER TASK FORCE - THE OUTLAWS roster: 1. VANGUARD (Outlaws version) 2. TOM CAT (coming 2021) 3. WILD DOG (coming 2021) 4. BIG TOP (coming 2021) 5. SCRATCH 6. FASTBALL VANGUARD was an early enlistee when it came to the new Marauder Task Force as a top class green beret, but in this new uncharted world, he quickly grew disillusioned with the top brass' rules after being frequently reprimanded for using "off the record" guerilla tactics. Ones that he felt were necessary to give the MTF the upper hand against the new threat of WRATH & it's 4 CYBORG KINGS. With a personal vendetta against the CANDYMAN after losing a loved one, VANGUARD took a bunch of like-minded new misfit troops that he was booted down to training, grabbed whatever gear he could salvage, & left the MTF with them to form THE OUTLAWS... a rogue vigilante group that plays by it's own rules, with VANGUARD as their leader. From time to time they will align themselves with the MTF, but are doing things their own way and are finding their own path, as they track down the CANDYMAN in SKULL HAWK'S urban kingdom, VANGUARD is ready for the final showdown to bring this drug lord to justice! #207. POISON RAT (PHANTOM FORCE VERSION) (Explosive Ordinance MK. 2 MGR Geared-Up Figure/based on ARAH Tunnel Rat)
Marauder Task Force Phantom Force Version/Version 3 Origin: USA Season 5 *I didn't have plans to make a Night Force Tunnel Rat, but when MGR offered their 2020 con figures on the site, I quickly snapped him up! I only changed the shoes for more accuracy & the head to the "Hiro" head as I think it suits T-Rat better. FLASHBACK: POISON RAT was put on the PHANTOM FORCE after his exceptional efforts of both barricading the mutated civilians in the Himalayas, & assisting in an underground escape route for the MTF & it's survivors. Knowing that both explosives & a quick getaway with the Gunrunners elite as prisoners would be vital during the weapons auction assembly in Germany, POISON RAT was assigned by DUTCH to the PHANTOM FORCE team to make magic happen. When activated, POISON RAT quickly caused chaos for the WOLF TROOPERS and TIN MEN when the PHANTOM FORCE was discovered & helped LATCHKEY to find cover. He later provided active fire when ATHENA'S rescue squad came in to rally the heroes back to safety. Last edited by Steel Brigade; 03-06-2021 at 09:59 PM.. |
