Thanks so much! I started the re-code names & short bios due to the fact Hasbro/Club was still creating new figures at the time I had started, & whatever I was making with MTF, I also wanted to be able to co-exist on it's own, (alt "my universe") in case I bought any of the cross over characters. Some of the Tankers seemed to enjoy the bit of fiction I included so I've kept it up ever since!

I'm digging the new round of recruits!! There's something very appealing about Poison Rat and Aerozar but I also enjoy seeing the little details on the other ones as well. Black on red Brujo looks to be a simple build but I think he looks really awesome and I like that you a blade color scheme to recreate Larry Hama's Fury Force character.

#186. RAMPAGE (PHANTOM FORCE VERSION) (based on GI Joe Sgt. Savage & His Screaming Eagles " Sgt. Savage Cryo-Freeze ver.")

Sgt. Savage has become a fun one for me...story-wise he's my loose canon, kind of like Wolverine in X-Men, unpredictable, dangerous, a real wild card lol. With that said I have (currently) 3 homages planned for him and we have arrived at version 2. Made up from mostly parts bin parts, I think we have finally arrived at a successful "Cryo-Freeze" homage!

RAMPAGE was not on the Phantom Force roster, but he put himself on it when info leaked that his long time arch-nemesis COMMANDER ONSLAUGHT was heading up the arms race with a rogues gallery of the Gunrunners most dastardly. He got on the flight deck, (everybody knew he wasn't supposed to be there), loaded with heavy weapons, & not entirely wearing the Phantom Force approved mission colors, yet no one was going to argue with him, not even Phantom commander DUTCH. RAMPAGE sees this as possibly his last chance to engage the ultimate enemy, and he plans on taking him down at all costs - the rest of Phantom Force just hopes he doesn't jeopardize the mission with his own agenda!

There's been a couple times I thought about introducing Sky Dive to my MTF Universe, just when doing random Yo Joe site searches, but he always ended up getting side-tracked by the parts available on the MGR site! Once the parts I needed restocked & I finally put him together & settled on a final build, I was happy with how the Sky Patrol leader came out... ready for action! ;-)

When ATHENA was forming the new secret AIR DEVILS roster for the final strike on Grendel Island, she decided against herself as team leader, & that the "tough-as-nails" former NCO SKYLINE was the right man for the job instead. He has endured rigorous air training, accepted impossible missions, and has always come thru in the past. This mission will require a lot of quick decisions due to the unknown nature of the enemies fortress, being that the top landing platform is shadowed by mysterious, unnatural clouds. A bit older & more experienced then his new AIR DEVILS team, most think his code name comes from the skyline itself, when actually he was named after his favorite Ohio chili chain!

#188. HOT SHOT (AIR DEVILS VERSION) (based on GI Joe ARAH "Steel Brigade '92")

Hot Shot is back! This time my 3rd version of my personal Steely B incarnation is based on the Gold Head Steel Brigade figure! I have had this one planned for a long time but wanted to space the versions out - after building 2 versions of him (Steel Brigade v1/BF 2000 Blaster), I also wanted to revisit the character/figure build with fresh eyes. Oh and I needed the dark blue bodies to come back in stock lol. No gold (yet) in the MGR catalog, so after debating between the dark tan & yellow, I thought the dark tan replicated the original figure helmet color closer. Tried the "breather" head this time under the helmet to give the goggles effect underneath the helmet! The last 2 versions of this character went over well & I am hoping everyone likes this one too!

HOT SHOT was a last minute addition to the AIR DEVILS team, his test flight experience on new vehicles and leadership of the METAL BRIGADE has proven he has what it takes in intense situations. When ATHENA assigned SKYBUSTER & CHOPIN to the AIR DEVILS team, the brothers recommend the remaining brother for drop-landing support... His prior jump trooper training, recent martial arts training, acts of daring, and METAL BRIGADE sub team should be able to quickly eliminate any defense the Gunrunners can throw at the MTF when they hit their strike point!

#189. SKY BUSTER (AIR DEVILS VERSION) (based on GI Joe ARAH "Starduster '97 ver 1A")

When the light blue dress shirt torso was introduced, I knew I was going to revisit childhood favorite/brother-in-arms Starduster! As I look at the first version I did of him (in the best colors I could use for him at the time & as more of a modern take,) this next version was going for more accurate colors, a more vintage feel, and homaging the most different of the alternate versions of the original (body construction.) I wanted to use the rolled up sleeves here which are not compatible with the MTF gloved hands, but I felt the sleeves were more important. I don't think I have seen anyone use the new light blue dress shirt and chimera style contract-ops pants yet for this character, so I am hoping others will see these parts can also be used as a cool look for Starduster!

When ATHENA was forming the AIR DEVILS, long time friend & the very accomplished man-of-action SKY BUSTER was among her first choices. Over the years he has been an integral part of both the successes of SQUAD 87Z & PHANTOM FORCE missions, now as an AIR DEVIL, SKY BUSTER continues his role as their Fast Attack Infantry Transportable Air Recon Specialist! Wearing an outfit more camouflaged for fire in the sky, he's eager to bring the atrocities of Grendel Island to a halt!

#190/X13. FASTBALL (based on GI Joe ARAH "Hardball")

Over the last couple years I kept thinking about adding Hardball to my MTF Universe. My brothers & I had him as kids, & even though we thought of him as Big Lob's replacement figure even way back then, it seems that everyone was on to that Hasbro switcheroo back in the day (thanks to the internet lol.) I finally came up with a MGR build for him that I'm happy with, and after waiting for a few pieces to come back in stock (like the red shells) I'm finally ready to release my MTF version of the character. Taking nods from the Joe Club's inclusion of him within Sgt. Slaughters Marauders, (although I didn't think their version looked very good) I am doing that here with adding him to the MARAUDERGEDDON'S new "THE OUTLAWS" faction!

Introducing EX-MARAUDER TASK FORCE - THE OUTLAWS roster:

THE OUTLAWS are a rogue military squad that were formerly aligned with the Marauder Task Force. After their first leader went MIA due to a high ranking operation command blunder, THE OUTLAWS had-had enough and decided to separate themselves from what was considered a "conflict of interest," or "military politics" by leaving the MTF before it escalated further. Now VANGUARD is heading the team, and while traveling they came across a former Major League Player in what was formerly "New England," that was in a final stand off with WRATH Troops. He was knocking them down with his sheer strength and a baseball bat! THE OUTLAWS liked his style, and asked him to join their team... knowing he had a better chance in surviving this "new world" with "friends," he kind of became the moral compass of the group of jaded soldiers. Code named FASTBALL, he's now equipped with some proper military gear, but still holds on to that baseball bat that saved his life.
