So many figures that I have not had a chance to comment on... Where do I begin?
Dukes - both the nod to the original and the '92 version look great, though I prefer the original one. That being said, I am surprised how much I like that '92 tribute build, as I wasn't a fan of all the red on that version; you made him look cool! The TIN MAN figure looks fantastic, and is definitely the biggest surprise of the last couple batches you've put together. It would be cool to army build these guys, and have a set of Sgt. Savage and the Screaming Eagles to tangle with them! Law and Order, aka Long-Arm and Lupin, are nice because you went with the less likely to be customized cartoon versions of the pair. I do think that green pants would work better for Law/Long-Arm though... The other figures are nice, even the ones that are straight up MTF builds, which I enjoy seeing people displaying, since it shows that Marauder is in tune with their target audience... As always, thanks for sharing your figures here, as well as on FB! -Todd Shakka85

Sorry my friend I am waaaaaaay behind. I will check them all out and give my thoughts as soon as I can. First glance blew me away though. I like to take time to read your bios because I really like how it fleshes out the characters.

Hey kuh_rupht, SDawg, axonrey, thanks so much guys! I truly appreciate each & every comment!
Thanks man, even though the pics are posted on Facebook the bios are exclusive to HISS TANK! Quote:
Awesome! I wanna see it done when you steal it boss! Quote:
Another batch of great entries! Doing an awesome job with those red tees! Love the red Duke! Such a great no paint build and I love the extra touch of the red goggles. Really makes the helmet pop. Think your version of International Action Force Spirit is the only one I’ve seen besides mine. Such a cool version and you did a great job making him out of Marauder parts! The original o ring sculpt was so cool so it’s awesome to start seeing more of it represented in the modern era. Got yourself a nice build if you want to tackle the Air Commando version too now.
Thanks bro! Red is my favorite color! Glad you like the Spirit! He was a surprise build! Quote:

NEW RECRUITS!!!!!
#151 DECKER & WRAITH (based on GI Joe ARAH Widescope & Lamont) Marauder Task Force Origin: USA Season 2 One thing this batch of New Recruits has in common (-the Cutter homage) is that they were all on the back burner for a long time. Take Widescope here, I thought of him way back when the Chimera Ops & K9's were 1st offered back in (my) season 2, but when MGR offered their Shockwave geared-up homage, and I had started running ideas for my season 3, I thought it was too soon/similar to make him, despite their various differences. He's also an expensive figure to make the way that I wanted to make him (2 body combo, dog, etc.). Then when I finally did decide to make him a couple months ago, he got pushed back again due to problems with both the figure and the dog having ball joints snap... (despite my best efforts) & needed replacements. But now Widescope is finally here, in all his glory, and as originally intended, I think he has the most stickers of any of my MTF builds so far lol. DECKER is part of the K9 Squad that is under MONGREL'S command & includes CLIPPER. The urban environment of Tokyo is chock full of buildings stacked on top of each other, you never know if the next floor is a maid cafe, a gashapon shop, or a den for the Yakuza in the Shinjuku underworld... DECKER & WRAITH'S job is to go in first, and kick down the locked door to find out. For how intense these situations are, DECKER always stays calm, cool, & collected, & is "the best" at making split second decisions in life or death situations. His dog WRAITH gets his name as he is known to be able to pass through the enemy like a ghost/death and make exceedingly accurate attacks when a hostage is in need of rescue. Much like DECKER, WRAITH can go from friendly to fearless in an instant when action is needed, and the bond between them is unrivaled. |

#152 SKYBUSTER (PHANTOM FORCE VERSION) (original take on a Night Force Starduster inspired by Transformers Skywarp)
Marauder Task Force Phantom Force Version/Version 2 Origin: USA Season 5 Starduster does not have a lot of official versions, and when I was creating my updated "Night Force" team homages (aka Phantom Force) I was going to include the brotherly trio again from "Squad 87Z" (Starduster, Steel Brigade, Crazy Legs) with Crazy Legs already having an official Night Force version. Since I wanted to make a couple more versions of the "Skybuster" character in my MTF Universe, and some of the my intended version ideas are currently hard to recreate well (or are a ways off), I decided that I would create my own "Night Force" version of Starduster, inspired by my brother's favorite Transformer "Skywarp." After a lot of thought on how I could combine Starduster & Skywarp in an MTF homage, you can see that it is an updated Starduster MTF build with added Skywarp colors accents & gear to keep both homages in tact! SKYBUSTER was assigned to the Phantom Force team as a quick reconnaissance operative and an immediate rescue one-man army in case one of the MTF agent's (like LATCHKEY'S) cover is blown during the intense negotiations that will take place for the nuclear arms bidding war hosted by ONSLAUGHT. SKYBUSTER'S fully loaded pack out includes rapid fire machine guns, missile launchers, a stealth suit that renders him near invisible, and a jet pack that is so quick & agile it has been nicknamed the "Teleport-er" by the team. He awaits ATHENA'S final command when the nuclear arms meeting ignites! Alternate Helmet: Last edited by Steel Brigade; 11-26-2020 at 12:10 AM.. |

#153 LEVIATHAN (based on GI Joe ARAH Decimator)
Gunrunners Origin: Unknown European decent perhaps Germany Season 5 I've had the idea of recreating Decimator in my MTF Universe for a long while, as my brothers & I had him & the Hammerhead as kids, & used to have a lot of fun playing with that vehicle. I knew I wanted to use that yellow balaclava, & as time went on I thought I could recreate the look of the helmet with the MTF 4-scope night vision goggles... Then I had a gray German torso left over (from my recent "General Tomahawk '02"homage), that I wanted to use from my parts bin... So finally, after sitting in my "thoughts pile" for quite a while, the homage to Decimator was born lol! Nice to see that the helmet I ordered for him matched the new light gray color that most of the MGR stuff is cast in now vs. the darker "painted" gray this helmet has been issued with in the past! LEVIATHAN has been in charge of the GUNRUNNERS naval operations for years. Whether on the roughest waters or beach front property, it makes no difference to this once mercenary. He has helped with various projects over the years from BLUE LAGOON'S weapons trafficking water routes to the future setup of the defenses for the experimental lab work to be done on Grendel Island. Currently, LEVIATHAN and his team of SPECTRAL TROOPERS have been brought in as added defense for the nuclear arms race being held between the Gunrunners elite & their invitees. Unknown to the rest of the Gunrunners bidders is that LEVIATHAN is there as ONSLAUGHT'S secret henchmen to drive up the prices for the arms being sold during the bidding war! #154 CRUISER (based on GI Joe ARAH Cutter '93)
Marauder Task Force Origin: USA Season 7 Parts bin build! Using up those green t-shirts lol! Unlike everyone else in this batch, Cutter here was an immediate inspiration recreation when looking to make a new order on the MGR site, as well as dedicate some of my leftover parts in my bin to recreate another new homage. I had absolutely no plans for Cutter to be in my MTF Universe until I was green t-shirt hunting 1 night and thought that an obscure 1993 Cutter homage would make a great use of a leftover green t-shirt & a white waist! Sometimes the most fun in making these tributes is the instant inspirational moment where you know you can put something together with most of what you already have. *Un-Fun Fact: those "Flashbang" grenades are a real pain to get in the grenade loops, probably why I have avoided using them for 153 figures (MTF build #1 "One" being the only other character to have them prior to this figure lol) CRUISER is part of the MTF D.E.A. (Drug Enforcement Administration) that includes other members such as SENTINEL & LONG ARM. CRUISER is the man in charge when drugs & weapons smuggling is occurring across the coastal waterway borders and the MTF has to get involved. BLUE LAGOON was his greatest nemesis for years until CRUISER & the MTF were finally able to lock down some of his buyers. CRUISER has currently been assigned with DUTCH as part of the reinforcement team waiting in the water for VINDICATOR to call them in on the Grendel Island final assault. The uncharted waters made the journey there difficult and long, so long that CRUISER had lost enough bets with the Sailor on board that he had to shave off his mustache! lol Last edited by Steel Brigade; 09-15-2020 at 12:17 PM.. |

#155 ATHENA (STRIKE FORCE LEADER VERSION) (based on IDW GI Joe comics "Scarlett's Strike Force")
Marauder Task Force Strike Force Leader Version/Version 3 Origin: USA Season 5 I have been talking about recreating this version of Scarlett with my brother since the beginning of 2020, but after making the "Terminator Pilot" version, I wanted to wait a bit to make her even with having most of what I needed already. Sometimes I wait to make easier homages (because I have the parts in my bin) till I have an order with some hiccups in it, so that I can reorder again quickly and still make a new figure out of the new order when it comes in. With another Scarlett tribute here (one of my fave Joes), I went with the male legs (on the female waist) to emulate the baggy pants look of the comic & a few other calculated touches to make the character a better fit both in looks & functionality for the final result. Yes those are male elbow pads on her shoulders as shoulder pads lol! Also a sword because you can't make a Scarlett imho with out a sword. ATHENA worked closely with VANGUARD to develop an elite team called "Phantom Force." Which is a full time called upon roster of specialists that would be used for the highest security risk situations that would need to operate under the cover of night. A team was selected that included ORPHAN, CHOPIN, DUTCH, SKYBUSTER & more MTF members. ATHENA is bringing her own strike force to wrangle up any & all captures of the Gunrunners elite once the weapons trade commences and goes sour, and with the Gunrunners elite & their motives & egos... it always does.
