Awesome new batch!
The Grunt looks good in the toned down colors, like one of the late 90’s / 2000’s era guys where they repainted some of the brighter 90’s Joe’s in neutral colors. Both suit guys look great, I definitely need to grab some of the new colors. Really like Slate, that was a really good idea for those pants and excellent job accessorizing as usual. Always do! Haha. Brawn & Yaku look awesome as well. Might do something similar to Brawn, wasn’t sure who to use the yellow tee for so was hoping to find some inspiration for it on here.

Hey Lespaul, the Jinx image is from the 2002 Joe vs Cobra concept character art released by Sam Wells. You can see it all here.

Absolutely loved what you did here to the point where I copied the build as soon as I saw it. Didn’t realize you also used the WW2 bandolier, thought I added something new to it other than just a paint job. Haha. Awesome job on Leatherneck & showing me a guy I wasn’t sure could be done before the Vietnam parts came out. Really happy to have this version on my shelf, so thanks again! So many amazing ideas in this thread so I always enjoy going back through the pages.

Man, a lot of great stuff in the new batch! The new color suits and Contract Ops combos make for a lot of fun customs, and you always find the right ways to make them work!

Hey SB, love these. Brawn really stands out to me but Colt is cool too. I love the green suit. Cant wait to drop a lot of money like Mr. H said on these. Love your bios again. I enjoy your use of swords, I usually include swords a lot. I was a big MOTU fan and always loved swords.

NEW RECRUITS!!!!!
#136 WAR HAWK (COMMANDER RANGER VERSION - based on JVC "General Tomahawk '02") Marauder Task Force Commander Ranger Version/Version 2 Origin: USA Season: 6 I have been intent on doing one of the "sunglasses" versions of General Hawk in my MTF Universe since the "Miles" head was introduced. And with the current availability, I decided my first version would be an homage to the 2002 color scheme with a totally different build than I had first intended, now using mostly the new WWII parts to make him. This proved to be a fun build & pushed my re-imagining a bit which made it even more enjoyable. One of the interesting things about this "batch" of "New Recruits" is that all of them use something from the WWII catalog besides the stands! After the Moldova mission WAR HAWK decided to stay as a more active member of the MTF roster & soon was over seeing the development & maiden voyage for the new Mobile Command Center. Trained in both the Command Center's operations and maneuvers, WAR HAWK is now considered one of the lead strategists in it's journey for justice. As it reaches it's final destination in South America WAR HAWK has taken to the battlefield to assist in commanding the Task Force in the fight against the Gunrunners, while SLATE goes for his final confrontation with DINGO JACK, the ending will not be what the Task Force was hoping for! #137 NOA (based on GI Joe comics "Firewall" in Mainframe's Mission Brazil colors)
Marauder Task Force Origin: USA Season: 7 One of the things I like to do is have builds in mind with remainder parts after I buy intended parts for other characters. Firewall had been on my list for sometime & I realized I could build her "Mission Brazil/Mainframe" look from the comics with remainder parts & a couple of add-ons. The male bandolier is far too big for the female figures so I got creative and used one of the German belts as a bandolier instead! NOA grew up in the goth & emo scene, listening to industrial metal & finding different parts to pierce before she and her friends had got into hacking bank sites to try and get more "free money" for the things they wanted. She eventually got so good at it that she had all of Hot Topic's & FYE's Virginia branches sending their profit earnings directly to her before she got picked up by the Feds. Realizing her potential, her "judgement" came in the form of working for the military on the hacking of top secret info from "unfriendly" countries to the USA. Her talents now have been moved to field duties as a replacement for KITTYHAWK when she was promoted to the MTF Military Police Unit. NOA's first mission with the team is to be the security hacker for the WILD STRIKE team's operation of recon & evidence recovery on Grendel Island! #138 GUNRUNNERS SECURITY OFFICER(S) (based on GI Joe 25th "Cobra Officer")
Gunrunners Origin: Various Season: 7 As you probably have noticed I tend to stay away from the more obvious & popular characters that you can make with the MTF catalog in doing my own builds because my intent was to always bring out the characters or versions we did not see in the former Modern Era. When the MGR did their "Blue Trooper," I felt it was time to finally visit the mainstay Cobra ranks & I had some good parts in my bin to make an interesting & more classic looking Cobra Officer. I decided to mix the MGR trooper & WWII parts to make a cool homage & more unique representation in MGR of the classic 25th style Cobra Officer to compliment the already armored MGR Blue Trooper homage! SECURITY OFFICERS tend to be the backbone behind the Gunrunners more "private events." They work across the Globe as spies & saboteurs at defense facilities, trade centers & nuclear power plants. On the battleground they act as communication & field commanders to Gunrunners grunts. These OFFICERS are promoted SECURITY TROOPERS & some of the only remaining original regime from the terrorist organization that sprung the birth of the Gunrunners themselves. Trained by SAPPER as leaders in the "blue ranks, " they are difficult to match in both hand to hand combat & through a firefight. A top squad has been assigned to the secret Grendel Island facilities to over see all the trooper units and bulk up the islands security defenses.
