#131 GRAVESTONE (based on ARAH "Grunt '91")
Marauder Task Force
Origin: USA
Season: 4

Grunt here has the honor of being in my parts bin LONGER than any other MTF Universe figure! I built him waaaaaaaayyyyy back when I was doing the season 3 figures and dug out a bunch of my old childhood Joes. But the tan contractor pants (a good choice I thought in place of yellow) were out of stock, & I had to wait to finish him up until the pre-orders arrived after much delay. I thought of the "Hank" head right away for Grunt as not only is the original Grunt figure mean & ugly looking, so is this '91 figure lol. I really like how he turned out & even though he was a long time coming, I feel he was worth the wait!

One of WARHAWK'S original crew, GRAVESTONE was brought on by the General for the Moldova mission from the reservist roster. In his career he has seen it all, & started out as a "grunt" in the former incarnation of the MTF. You could count on him anytime, anywhere, & were happier & safer if he was on board. He is known for getting into the thick of fights, and emerging victorious through all of them. Over the years though, the scars of war have taken their toll on him, and after being promoted to Infantry Squad Leader, GRAVESTONE'S former good looks & enthusiasm have been soured with a gruff & morbid exterior. He doesn't laugh at jokes, he doesn't care if you've been up 100 hours straight on guard duty, & he doesn't want to hear your family or war stories. They say he carries an extra shovel around with him just in case anymore of his "brothers" need to buried when the day is done.

#132 YAKUZA BOSS MATSUMOTO
Gunrunners (Affiliate)
Origin: Japan
Season: 2

Seems like a few of us had the same exact build in mind with the new White Suit from MGR but with different characters planned lol! For me I needed a Yakuza Boss for my Season 2 "Tokyo Dark" story line and this was the perfect fit! Having been to Japan several times Yakuza are a part of underground life, you hear stories... everywhere from Akiba run video game stores to the Shinjuku Red Light District, and also as a part of pop culture (movies, games, etc.) so I really wanted to include that underground criminal aspect in my Season 2 story arc. The name comes from one of my all-time favorite movies... "Kill Bill."

YAKUZA BOSS MATSUMOTO is one of the most powerful bosses in the underworld and works with the various & nefarious "Underground Kings" as a part of organized crime in Tokyo. He also deals with illegal weapons trade, & human trafficking. Sophisticated with a strict code of honor, MATSUMOTO has aligned himself with MAJOR MAYHEM for maximum potential in their like interests. Although it is debatable which man is actually in charge of who. He is proficient in both fire arms & edged weapons, and takes great pleasure in inducting new members into his organization by severing their left pinky. His killings are countless, the fear he instills immeasurable, & his ruthlessness to get what he wants knows no bounds. He has hired on both the NIGHT SHINOBI & SKY NINJA clans to assist him with his new alliance with the GUNRUNNERS high command. He was responsible & present for the kidnapping of Kikuno, KUREHA'S sister from the shrine. KUREHA has since joined the Gunrunners in hopes for the day when she can face him to get answers as to what happened to her Shrine Maiden sister and the sacred weapons they protected.

#133 SLATE (based on ROC "Sgt. Stone")
Marauder Task Force
Origin: United Kingdom
Season: 6

The Pre-Orders are here! I planned out my orders well in advance so that I would have both the characters I wanted already designed & the parts I needed in hand before the pre-orders arrived so I did not have to wait to build anything once the new body colorways showed up! Sgt. Stone immediately came to mind for me when I saw the NATO style camo on the Contract-Ops body! I tried a couple different looks for him with extra parts ordered, but eventually thought the armored vest & Brit "Nigel" head were the best options, as none of the heads gave me a Brendan Fraser vibe, despite this being a ROC homage. I also want to differentiate my commanding officers & don't want Flint, Falcon, Stone, etc. all to look like the same guy in different colors. I think he looks lean & mean so I'm very happy with how he turned out!

SLATE started off as a spy with the British SIS but had done so many successful military espionage works that they eventually needed his expertise full time. Assignment was under MTF'S leader ONE & SLATE had trained in the UK with the now rogue mercenary SAPPER. SLATE feels somewhat responsible for SAPPER'S disillusion & hopes to bring him to justice. Years later he was transferred to the USA and did many "field trips" with DUTCH & gained himself a position in the MTF as a Spec Ops instructor. He volunteered to pioneer as Master Sgt. of the Mobile Command Center's maiden voyage from Alaska to South America & is working with a diverse crew of both rookies & specialists. In a recent grisly battle with DINGO JACK, SLATE both injured JACK badly on his right arm and JACK also lost his left eye in the bloody skirmish. JACK has sworn revenge & wants the same battle scars to be inflected on SLATE. In the future, he is "slated" to replace ONE to be next in command of the MTF, once the esteemed leader retires...but it could be a while.

#134 COLT (based on the GI Joe character "Joe Colton")
Marauder Task Force
Origin: USA
Season: 7

Another idea for the new colored MGR suits I had was to make the original G.I. Joe "Joe Colton" by taking influences for him from various sources over the years both from the Comics, Club, & figures.

COLT started in special forces, and later as a green beret before becoming the very first but short-lived commander of the original incarnation of the MTF. His life is documented in books & media & highlighted by exotic adventures, trips of daring, and military operations of the highest regard, making him one of the most worldly, legendary, and noteworthy men of the last century. Now in his older years he has become an advisor for special missions and has been reached upon to plan a strategy on the mission code named "Wild Strike, " a recon event & possible attack on the mysterious & unheard of Grendel Island. If anyone can give the MTF a leg up on what to expect in this uncharted territory, it's COLT.
