I have a great list of new character homages that I plan to recreate, and hope to have some of them completed each month! There are a few characters that I am VERY excited about! Some of the ones I have in mind require the rest of the second run of colors of Valks (and out of stock Male figures/parts to come back in.)

#10. CODE NAME: BLAZE (based on ARAH "Crossfire" '01 )
Marauder Task Force
Origin: USA
A character that has never been revisited as a modern G.I. Joe figure is "Crossfire." When researching Joes for new MTF character options, he stood out to me in the 2001 lineup... because he was a "new real American hero." My homage is simple and clean, but resembles the character well as a modern update (in my opinion.) The original figure had like a black wash on him to resemble camo, so using the "Spec Ops" MTF figure seemed to be the best choice. He is also a great fit for the new Marauders ammo belt!
A weapons specialist BLAZE is the top artillery trainers for the MTF. He keeps the MTF cast armed & ready with the latest issued firepower innovations, and likes to bring the heat when the Gunrunners try to punch back!!

#11. CODE NAME: HELLCAT (based on based on RAMBO: THE FORCE FOR FREEDOM character K.A.T. )
Marauder Task Force
Origin: Vietnam
Sometimes I like to think outside the box in my character selection, and this one definitely qualifies! A homage to the character K.A.T. from the 1986 Rambo cartoon! I made her in 2 options, a gray and red version to homage the old VHS box art, as well as a all black outfit cartoon/toy version!
HELLCAT is an MTF undercover operative who has worked in the USA, Canada, and parts of Asia cracking down on illegal gun trafficking led by the Gunrunners & their affiliates. Growing up she trained for the Olympics and is a master in ninjitsu & karate. She is also a mountain trooper, and has worked in the Himalayas tracking down well-hidden arms facilities. One of my favorite customs for originality to date! ;-)

I have a lot of fun creating these characters, and your kind words mean a lot!

As for Itchweed's question... My ideas come from Marauder's catalog, and comparing what they have available to make suitable homages to Joes, similar Military lines, KO's, and my own ideas. Looking through my collections, online, and at YoJoe .com help inspire me to create my Marauder Task Force vs The Gunnrunners universe.
I can tell you as of today I have a list of around 60+ custom MTF ideas!
And there will be more in the coming weeks!
