At the Dollar Tree there is a toy line of futuristic soldiers that are fighting an alien invasion, that you might like to incorporate. It might be interesting on how you could use the figures in Voltron, Thundercats and Power Rangers in your Joe Universe.

I?m just as unfamiliar, and yet this batch is intriguing for that very reason - action figures I never knew, and reinvented at much higher quality, so who needs the originals anyway. Great batch again! That first one (EDIT - meant Gear Head but he is not the 1st) really pops!

These are seriously Awesome!! The thought process to engineer pure perfection!! XD
I remember vortech and really wanted to love but I only bought a few and only saw the cartoon a couple of times. MASK was king for me as a kid, I loved it probably a tiny bit more than Joe back in the day. Kenner/hasblo tried but the same spark lacked with this ?90?s concept?good thing you have breathed new life into and cranked it up to 12 (as usual)!! Funny me too, I have another retro homage toy line coming soon that's even more obscure! @_@ Quote:

Vor-Tech?
Amazing. The thematic sequel to MASK. I'm not too familiar with the figures, which I recall were a bit more... buttery in their sculpting than the MASK figures, and also had straight legs maybe? You've definitely tightened up their designs during the upscale. Wonderful work. |

My brother I'm so glad you decided to step into the realm of the 1990's spiritual successor to M.A.S.K, Vor-Tech, because that's exactly how I'd like to see reiterations of those toys & the cartoon incarnations. Pure awesomeness!!
Fantastic looking 1st wave, your choice of parts for your builds is smart and well balanced as always. Not so overly geared-up but sufficient enough to ensure all characters mean business! Ace, Hardfire and Snake Oil are probably my favorites of this wave. Absolutely love how you've nicely incorporated all of those parts, great work!! Congrats also on introducing Joy Toy into your builds, they do have some wicked looking accessories but again your creativity & planning is what makes these random parts shine! Nice addition of that BFS Robot forearm as well, there are just so many ideas and inspiration one may draw out of this thread. Perfect use of the Black Major Aero-Viper helmet and then that shoulder gear/vest combo from your recent Low-Light build is spot on for Ace. I also dig how you "created" the Techno-Plague infection per Snake Oil's helmet. Somewhat small/sublet tweaks yet powerful! Really nice touch. Also very clever to alternate their guns vs. original characters as in the case of Shepherd. Cool build! That is an excellent round 1 of Vor-Tech envisioned characters my brother. Look forward to the second batch! |

Man! Those are spectacular builds. The ideas that spring from your head are inexhaustible, I am really jealous.
Hail!
