Back when I did the '92 Sci-Fi homage in 2021, I knew the white refresh from Star Brigade was also on the menu, as my brothers & I had both growing up. The plan was always to have him advance in his next incarnation & to be part of an Exo-Suit team to change it up in a fun way that would still work for the Sci-Fi character. When AVAC's closed shortly after my first version, I was left still needing that trademark helmet... & the original "white ones" are pretty scarce on the after market. I caught up with Coby & can finally present to you my idea from a couple years back lol. I colored the eyes, mimicked the colors of his Starfighter for the exo-suit, & thought the AWOK armor would add some extra value visually to this new plused-up Sci-Fi version!

BIO: QUASAR helped develop the weaponry for SCIENCE DIRECTOR GREG D. SCOTT"S exo-suit program. Being one of the early testers for the whole project, QUASAR called using the exo-suit "fighting in 3-D." Now assigned to VANGUARD'S rescue squad, he has to bring in the man that he once worked so closely with... It's not easy, but he thinks that he has as much experience as SCOTT with the exo-suits, & will have the best chance of disarming him before the situation gets too hostile!

374. SCORCH (based on G.I. Joe - Valor vs Venom Torch)

Originally the 6th (of now 12) Neo-Noks planned, Torch fell victim to the long-awaited MGR 2020 heads that are finally making their way out in 2023. This was a fun build being able to utilize the MGR blowtorch & added stickers (arm/pants.) Although not a 100% complete at the time of the "still needed" head's release (most of the other "on hold" figures in my bin are just minus a head)... I only needed a couple more items to finish him... Funny thing is I specifically ordered this head on release day as the main reason for my new order, so I could complete the build, but magically got 2 of this very same head that I needed (& in this very color) as freebies in my 2 orders prior to the 1 specific order's arrival! LOL!!!!!!

BIO: SCORCH is a shell of the man he once was. Before the "Armageddon War," he was loud, extremely violent, & more obnoxious than anyone you would ever want to meet. But once ZEUS went missing, he seemed to have lost all his direction, all of his fight. Not even vying for new leadership of the NOKS when none of the ZEUS family members were present, & letting POSEIDON & THRASH METAL duke it out for who would be king. Two NOKS that he considers lesser, & unworthy, (he even used to call POSEIDON "a poor man's SCORCH"), but couldn't bring himself to challenge them in all of his woefulness. Now that MEDUSA has rejoined the NOKS & claims ZEUS did not pass & is still very much alive... things are looking up for the crazy NOK pyro.

375. ATHENA (OPERATION ICE AGE VERSION) (based on Arctic Scarlett concept art 2020)

Originally conceived in 2021, this arctic themed Scarlett got put on hold for various reasons. The main one being a lack of deciding if I wanted her arctic form to homage the 2010 unreleased Resolute comic-pack Scarlett (which I have a test-shot of), or to homage the interesting 2020 concept art that was done by Lauren Dellapa. I eventually decided on the latter, as I thought that design would make a better fit within my "Operation Ice Age" micro story. The cross bow was a freebie from Vitruvian Armory which helped get her development back on track after sitting in my brain for years. Even though I am trying not to use stock heads for females anymore, (as I want my current female builds to have a unique quality to them), the moveable ponytail on the stock head here was necessary for fit (and added versatility) when combined with the fur collar (...I also have been using this head on all of my Scarlett homages so far... but still have another Scarlett homage in development that will have a unique head... stay tuned! ;-) )

BIO: ATHENA needed to put together an investigation into the north... Canada, & possibly even the arctic regions. She heard that POSEIDON was making a rendezvous with an unknown to procure a dangerous & thought of as *extinct* species of animal to keep as his own personal pet. Rumor has it that the animal in route is an actual Smilodon. By law, love for animals, & a grudge against POSEIDON, ATHENA leads her squad & suits up in a new artificial fur-lined arctic cold suppressant suit. Relying on her trusty crossbow with arm guard & wakizashi sword, she comments to CHEETAH when asked about her weapons choice... "They never freeze up, & they never let me down."

As always, another show-stopping drop! Love them all. Special love to Sci-Fi. I have been reluctant to pull the trigger on the AWOK vests, but that blue on Sci-Fi?s vest is pretty nice. How is the fit? Does the vest fit well on the MTF torso? Also, my Sci-Fi helmet flops around the head pretty severely. What about yours? Have you found any head that works better than the others to try to keep the helmet from flopping so much?

^^^ Thanks good buddy! The AWOK vests do fit the MGR trooper bodies, they sit a smidge high due to the MGR collars, but are completely open on both sides, so no latching issues! This is the 3rd time I've used one, the other 2 were on the first "Sunrunners" drop. Those old ARAH nogs can be a bit big, so the helmet repros can be too large for the modern heads... For Sci-Fi, I actually use an MGR "Logan" head with a MGR headband on, then the helmet fits over like a glove!

Damn SB, this is a seriously great batch. Roadblock, Sci-Fi and Arctic Scarlett are the standouts in this round for me.
