Yes, it's funny, when I think back about why I did the re-code names in the first place, it was because "old characters + new team = new code names" ...from a story point of view... but also in part like how 3rd parties do their naming conventions when it comes to recreating ips... example 3rd party Transformers... Starscream is now "Red Comet." ;-)
I think when we finally get to the MGR 2023 Vietnam stuff, since that will be set in an alternate past timeline for myself, I may use the original code names again for just that series (as most of the characters will not cross over anyway), & it will be in-check with the timeline I will be setting it in. ;-)

All the new recruits are great man. Dark Lord and Toxic Trooper are my two favorites. I had Darklon as a kid and he stand out in my memory since 89 was my last year of getting Joes and I think I only got a handful that year. I always loved his design, but didn't really know anything about him. You've captured the look of the vintage character here as you usually do.

So I’m not sure if I missed them or not, but did the armorless versions of the Desert Ops MK II and Chimera Ops MK II come and go already? I really love those new camo patterns but only without the greaves and forearm armor.
