Loving the continuation of the War Machine group! Snake Eyes looks bad ass! The knee pads on that sculpt (doubling as shoulder pads) really give that a different look than the other Snake Eyes I’ve seen or put together with Marauder parts. Love those ideas you throw in there.
Storm Shadow looks great with the flat vest and the skirt piece to break up the sculpt. That Duke is fantastic! Love that head and then really cool look with the t shirt, clothe legs and thicker vest. But Robo-Joe.....he was awesome! Haha, loved him as a kid! Using a damaged Arnold T2 head for him is brilliant! Never would have thought of that! He’s been built but not finished on my shelf but never would have thought about using that head for him. Love how you broke up the colors by swapping between a few different exo suits. The Elita is spot on because before I saw the bio I was wondering if that’s who it was going to be a homage to. Really loving that head, perfect for the homage and your built. Still need to see that movie. Lmao, great minds because I wanted to do Toon snake eyes the second I saw that Super7 figure as well! Spectacular job on him, love the Marauder purple to give him that coloring. So cool. Such a badass Flint And I never noticed we keep getting black shirted Flints.....now I’m gonna need to make a toon accurate one down the road. Haha. Super cool with the parts used. Excellent take on Skidmark! Love that you tackled them both now with your Sgt Savage guy. I really need to get some bandannas to use on the legs of some of my guys. Always love that look you do. Star Brigade Destro! Haha. Hitting all of my childhood favorites! Another I have had unfinished forever. Again, love splitting up all of the different exo suits to get just the perfect look for the original figure. Then really smart idea to use the BF chrome head for him, might be an idea I borrow if the bald chrome head isn’t the one I use for a custom I’m planning to do at some point. Rica looks great as well! Always enjoy seeing you tackle characters from the gory movies that you love. Always leads to a fun build and some cool pics. Plus movies I never heard of. Haha. As always, super impressed with how you just continue to pump these unique ideas out at such a rapid pace! Pics, write ups and the conversation are always fun as well! Looking forward to the next batch! Last edited by Steel Brigade; 11-13-2021 at 12:53 PM.. |

NEW RECRUITS!!!!!
#276/X72. ELITE-OPS TROOPER(S) (based on GI Joe ARAH Cobra Viper) Wrath Origin: Various Season 9 *MTF Geared-Up figure+ I always like to take advantage of when MGR has their great "geared-up" figures online, so I was happy to snap up their "Elite-Ops Trooper" when he dropped on the site! With that said, although their head was a great choice of parts, I longed for something more Cobra... Viper-y lol. Ebay provided the answer, & this custom helmet/head fit perfect! I decided I wanted to have one of the offered black goggles combos... & upon arrival it looks cool with the provided gold/green sparkly face shield - as it shimmers when hit by the light! ELITE-OPS TROOPERS are this alternate universe/Future War's version of the former (Gunrunners) SECURITY TROOPERS. A starting point with in the WRATH Military Organization, with promises of power & riches in a dangerous new world, the recruited soldiers come in highly motivated, then get superbly trained & formidably equipped. Their outfits are state of the art, containing multi-layer body armor & wraparound acrylic/composite helmets with built-in radio telecommunications gear. Being the first ones "out" on the field of the "living" soldiers, there is a quick turnover (& promotion opportunity!) ;-) |

#277/X73. CYBER-OPS GUNNER(S) (based on GI Joe ARAH Cobra B.A.T.S.)
M.A.R.S./Wrath Origin: M.A.R.S. Industries Season 9 *MTF Geared-Up figure+ Again, the Cyber-Ops Gunner were a great "geared-up" offering on the MGR site a while back (& are still available at the time of this writing!) And even though they had a clever parts use for the head, I wanted something more robotic looking... So I decided on an Ebay custom cast of the secondary Cobra Combat Ninja head from the GI Joe Retaliation line, with a silver eyeball highlight courtesy of me lol. I also swapped out one of the backpack weapons (that fit better) & added some side belt armor. One of M.A.R.S. greatest achievements for WRATH was the development of their CYBER-OPS Soldiers during the Future War. A series of battle androids that can take the place of humans during times of military conflict. They are the perfect soldier, as they never question orders, complain about the food, shirk duty, or surrender. They require no leave-time, sick-pay, or benefits of any kind, and they are cheap & easy to replace as they are made on an assembly line. The CYBER-OPS GUNNER(S) are part of the new advanced series, with their rail-guns, they are meant to decimate enemies & enemy transports. They also carry a variety of extra interchangeable weapons & mechanical devices to retrieve or repair each other in case of failure. Their head has built in radio & night vision, & their chest plate protects their main operating system. |

#278/X74. RIN (based on the movie Mutant Girls Squad - aka Sentō Shōjo: Chi no Tekkamen Densetsu)
Hilko Labs/Mutant Girls Squad Origin: Japan Season 9 *Japanese Anti/Heroines series **Plays with your Marauder Task Force Figures!!! ***FYI moving forward & to keep this thread going with more surprises (& while we wait for the new MGR stuff), I'll be using some more Boss Fight (& other custom parts) on my "New Recruits" for overall accuracy, inventiveness, & extra building fun! I hope you will enjoy these new aspects to my builds! Mutant Girls Squad is another splatter film put out by Nikkatsu's Sushi Typhoon branch, this time under 3 directors (Noboru Iguchi, Yoshihiro Nishimura, & Tak Sakaguchi) to form 1 story, spoofing the X-Men with an all girls team. The lead girl Rin, her mutant power (a guitar claw), manifests one day after being bullied, (& her subsequent parents death). She then goes on a grief-filled shopping center rampage, only to be put into mutant training by the secret Hiruko Clan. A staple in my collection... after another recent viewing of Mutant Girl Squad, the film inspired me to make the 3 main female characters from the series & add more to my Japanese Anti/Heroines collection. I started with Rin, the lead, as I saw a way to make a version of her with her training mask/reinforcement suit that she has in the middle/end of the movie, using Boss Fight Studios parts. It was a fun-first to use an all Boss Fight catalog build (body, skin tones, etc.), as I am still working through their library & the possibilities that they have... to bring even more characters to my customs universe. So even though she is entirely Boss Fight (& not Marauder), she is meant to play in my MTF Universe (& does have an MTF stand, as I am not fond of the Boss Fight stands & it fulfills a small MTF requirement for within this thread. ;-) ) MUTANT GIRL RIN is the latest addition to Hilko Labs Mutant Girl Squad. A trio of enforcers made to destroy the old Japanese leaders that are still holding power against a recent upheaval by new blood in a dying land. Captured, brainwashed, & experimented on, Hilko Labs is finding ways to cause mutations within bloodlines. In the case of the recently acquired RIN, a powerful mutated claw has manifested that can rip through the enemy with ease. Fitted with a training helmet, piercing dagger, & a reinforcement suit that can deflect bullets, electricity, & pretty much anything thrown at her, RIN has gone into a training period that will hone & manifest her skills until she becomes the perfect fighting force along with her teammates REI & YOSHIE. But something will happen in RIN'S mind when innocents get in the way of her mission & she becomes unsure of Hilko Lab's "just" cause... *Japanese Anti/Heroines series roster 1. GALLY 2. RIKA 3. RIN 4. YOSHIE 5. REI 6. YUKI 7. MONAMI 8. SAKI 9. SAYA 10. AMI Trailer: |

#279/X75. CLEAVER (based on GI Joe ARAH concept "Chef")
Marauder Task Force Origin: USA Season 9 I was inspired to make the well known GI Joe concept "Chef" character after seeing that Boss Fight offered some "key ingredients" that would make this one come to life! "Chef" never made it off the official Hasbro drawing board back in the day (probably due to the idea that kids would most likely not want to buy a cooking character amongst Joe's other *sleeker* choices), but he has seen many customs (even a 2014 International G.I.Joe Convention build-a-figure) over the years, & with how wacky my Future War season is going to be, he really fit in with my non-conventional character roster! ;-) CLEAVER was once an active Sargent (First Class) in the MTF ranks, but due to a developing photophobia, (a sensitiveness to light) that happened at the start of the Future War, he was taken off the field. Still, he wanted to stay a part of the MTF, so he was made a military chef due to his C-grade culinary skills. The troops often complain about his choices, but CLEAVER takes his job very seriously, making decisions based on the availability (& the state of MTF HQ) while still fitting in with the UN's budget for their beloved troops. If there was ever a breech in the kitchen, CLEAVER still keeps his high tech assault rifle near by to stop friend or foe from smuggling any potatoes! ;-) |

#280/X76. BOOMTOWN (based on GI Joe ARAH Downtown)
Marauder Task Force Origin: USA Season 9 Growing up we had Downtown, (by default this puts him automatically on my MGR building radar) & I did very much like the original. ;-) But I coud never think of a way to get that trademark helmet in without using the ARAH one, & have it look enough to my liking, despite seeing some other cutomizers tackle this idea effectively. Then in one of my recent Vitruvian Armory orders, I got the red boxer head gear as a freebie, & old D.T. immediately came to mind! The rest of the build I had mostly in my parts bin, (& had an extra mortar from a Retro Cobra Officer I just bought to start another custom), so with just a few remaining parts needed... I went ahead & grabbed them from the MGR site! BOOMTOWN was playing college basketball when the Armageddon War hit & he joined the MTF as a way to survive when his life was turned literally upside down. In the Future War, old weaponry comes in surprisingly handy, as much of the future tech isn't looking for it, so BOOMTOWN found that the mortar was a great way to attack the enemy in this new unstable environment, where the high ground is the new norm. He also carries a great amount of extra ammo & gear, (& even when fully loaded himself), offers to take more for his Team. Always prepared, his speed helped him more on the basketball court than his height, & it's helping him again when prepping for his next enemy target! Whoa!! Fun batch incoming! Love your personal touches and that BoomTown top notch! I made one very similar because I had him as a kid remember very fondly when I got him and adventures we had. So much fun to see the variety you share. As always great job buddy!
