Not sure if anyone did this yet. I like the crimson viper that GJCC is doing but its far to expensive for me. So I did the next best thing and just made one for myself. This is just a repaint of a regular viper in the Crimson Strike Team colors, well almost, I left out the gold because I wanted to keep the pallet the same as the crimson resolute troopers, black, red and silver. I also left in the viper legs instead of bbqs and left the backpack black and painted silver highlights rather then all red with gold and silver hilights.
excuse the photos, they were taken using my phone camera as my regular camera has been misplaced.

What silver paint did you use and how many coats? I can;t find silver paint or get it to work well ever. I even tried model masters silver and gun metal to no avail :(

Great job NDK, turned out awesome! I love these CST Vipers and agree with you totally on the cost of the JoeCon ones. Not sure if I like the Barbeque legs they come with yet. I did one last year around November and sold him on ebay for like $10! I dremeled out the regular Viper head/helmet and used a Scared Cobra Officer head. Iam going to be doing the whole set of this years CST(Baroness, Tomax, Xamot & 12 Vipers). I think I might try getting 12 sets of Barbeque legs for the Vipers too, or not

Looks great! The red came out really nice, and that is usually the worst to work with. I also have this on my ''To Do'' list.

It took wroughly 2 or 3 coats of silver. The brand I use, along with all my paints are called "Golden: Fluid Acrylics" they are bit expensive though but I like it. The silver color is "Iridescent Silver (Fine)" this silver is thicker then regular paint and sort of globs on slightly but I think thats what makes it adhere and shine so well, Im very happy with the silver, I was hesitant at using a new type of paint at first because I had rough experiance with glow in the dark paint but this brand has always given me quality colors.
