From Brigadier General Falcone's notes:
Ghost is an interesting case. He is one of the handful of people we have added to our base after the big crash and the end of the world as we know it. He showed up with his brother, made their presence known at a well hidden security camera, with a sign that said "USMC looking to help the Army". Turns out, he is a USMC LTC, or Lt Col as they abbreviate it and his older brother is US Army SF. I have come across his brother, he was C.O. of the Q-course at one point. Ghost is one of a handful of Marines who were deeply involved in black ops. Marines don't usually play too much in that world, except in a support or reaction force role, but this guy has been around it his entire career. He has been in the middle east, Africa, South America and the far east. He even spent some time in Eastern Europe and Russia. He has toppled governments or brought back information used by others to topple govts, yet spends his spare time here at the Pit III teaching judo to team members, but also to the handful of kids we have living here. While large and imposing, he is quiet and soft spoken. He has been here three months now, and he tends to sit and listen and observe conversations far more than he participates He moves silently and purposefully, and is highly skilled in hand to hand combat, and is fluent in multiple languages. Gunslinger, my operations officer and field commander, heard rumors of Ghost but wasn't sure he really existed or that people had their stories right. Download searched our NSA internet archive, all govt records, to include his USMC OQR*. Large parts of his OQR are redacted or missing, his medical records are nearly empty, and he had vritually no online persona-no Facespace, MyBook, Lougle+, or twatter and no news stories. Unlike most of the Marines here at the Joe team, he is not a relative or friend of Gunslinger's. He stated that he and his brother hunkered down with their families at a secure location he declined to divulge the location of and that he knew of our existence and when he heard rumors of military action in our area, they came to offer their services in exchange for billeting for their families. So far, they have been great assets to the team. *Officer Qualification Record, the USMC personnel file for officers Code name: Ghost File name: (redacted) Birth place: (redacted) PMOS: infantry officer (reconnaissance) Additional MOS: intelligence officer A mustang, prior enlisted officer, served in the USMCR while in college, in a reserve Recon unit. After graduation and commision as a 2nd Lt, he quickly moved to Force Recon, and came to the attention of SOCOM. SOCOM employed hin all over the world in a variety of black bag operations, from intel gathering to assisting in coups and take overs. He is forgettable. although physically large, he has cultivated a personality in which people simply do not notice him. Qualified expert in virtually all small arms in existence. His qualifications are too long to list: Airborne, Scuba, Halo, Rigger, armorer, USMC Scout Sniper School, Amphibious Recon school, summer and winter mountain leader course, SERE, etc. Fluent in Russian, Arabic, and Spanish (South American and Castilian) The entire body is 50th Gung Ho, the head is a MGR head that was cast then given a high and tight haircut with a file and sandpaper. The vest is Retaliation RB, modified with cast pouches from the BBi SWCC crewmen. The hat is a cast of the Xtreme Detail Humvee driver had, googles are MGR. Chest knife is from "The Corps", M-4 MGR painted with the picatinny rails sanded off to give a different look. HK handgun and grenade launcher from various 50th joes. In my joeverse, Hawk reformed the joe team with Falcon as the commander a couple of years before a large zombie outbreak and collapse of society at the hands of ... well, you know... those guys again. Some of my characters are original joes in senior positions, some are new joes, both recruited to reform the team, and some are intereting fellows encountered in the world. |

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen. I have this entire joeverse in my head where the joe team was reformed by Hawk, now retired and serving as Assistant Under Secretary of Defense for Global Integration, Joint Operations, and Execution (get it?), because of rumblings of a threat from a new Cobra, a couple years after the joe team was reformed, Cobra unleashed a zombie apocalypse on the world, by accident.
So, I have fun writing the bios. I am adding posts since my daughter showed me an easy way to get photos from my iphone to the internet. My bios for original characters are all based on actual people I know minus the GI Joe team and Cobra, and the zombies (so far). |
