Tek Ninja was my favorite and got my vote. I just skimmed through the pictures of the entries, and he immediately screamed "Hi, I was in the Blade 2 movie. Perhaps you've seen it?" I loved the design of those outfits, and I love this figure.
I was not so into cloth on figures at this scale, but the more I look at Tenchu, the more he grows on me. He is wonderfully executed. Is the cloth the micro-scale Lego stuff? Good work. ~Eric

Thanks guys. The clothes on Tenchu are made from a bandana, with exception to the vest. Originally I made the vest from the same bandana material, but it didn't give me the desired effect - so yes, Lego canvas finally did the trick.
Clothes on 4" figs is an extremely difficult thing to pull off, not only with the material you use, but also in how you apply the stuff. And by "apply", I also mean what base fig you use underneath it all. Bulky figs with sculpted details will make any cloth treatment look like a snow suit. It's very crucial to use a "bare-bones" fig for any clothes - period. I'm 99% happy with the results of Tenchu though. I'd chalk it up to skill, determination, and a whole lot of luck! I'm definitely considering on expanding this style in the future. Tek was really a "throw together" fig for me. I liked the RoC armor suit, although it reminds me of the early ST Borg, and it was fairly simple to add just a few choice parts to get the end result. Simple, sleek, but deadly. That's exactly what came to mind as I was making this guy, and sometimes the most simplist things have the greatest impact. Tek is a very good example of this. Thanks again guys. |

The Tec Nin looks cool, does it have 2 different shades of black? Like, gloss and flat? I think that's why it sticks out and doesn't just look like another black ninja.
