Looks great, I wonder, from a chemical POV, how you got that inflatable material to hold paint like that?

Pure beginners luck I imagine, lol. I did spray 2 coats of primer on it first. It's a pretty thick and durable plastic/rubber tube, whatever it is. Then I sprayed 2 coats of Model Master's "Light Sea Grey" over it. Not going to win any prizes, but looks ok.

OK? Really? If I had prizes to give you'd get one. You took an inflatable kids toy and turned it into a badass rigid hulled inflatable attack craft.
When I first posted last night I didn't even realize it was inflatable. |

Agree with all the comments, bang on job you did there. And the Box Art was good also.

Great work, painting the inflatable raft is the first I've seen. I wonder what will happen when it starts to deflate? Maybe the paint will harden enough for it to keep its shape. Regardless it's pretty cool.

It actually had a battery compartment under the seats for x2 AA's which I assume at one time made the fan on the bottom spin and create some kind of propulsion, but it didn't work so I glued it shut w/ the build. I actually ordered a small battery operated boat motor off of Ebay, but it takes more work to operate than I anticipated. You have to wire it to a 9 volt battery somehow and that's just out of my league (for now anyway), so I just left the hollow plastic motor-shaped thing on there & put stickers on it. |

Hopefully that's the case. What kind of primer did you use? Regardless it's awesome and should be Front Paged.
