Keep up the great work. There are many talented and artistic people on this site who do some awesome work, but your stuff continues to be among the very best of the best. This thing is unreal. I was trying to identify parts (unsuccessfully) and would never in a million years have guessed that the neck of the turret was made from scrap household plastic. It blends in seamlessly and looks like it is from a manufactured toy. The detail work, painting, weathering are all spectacular.

Dang, was hoping you had a real solution but knew that was too good to be true. I never use hot glue because I consider it to be temporary at best. If I was forced to use a piece of soft plastic I would much prefer Shoe Goo over hot glue. I generally just scrap the idea and find something that I can permanently attach unless I can somehow use screws to hold the soft plastic on.
As I said before I absolutely love the vehicle though and the plastic bottle looks really good there.

On another project, I used long pegs inserted into a tail section, filled with hot glue and connected to the hull of a large bomber. The entire thing is super solid and can be held by just its tail section.

That is a true masterpiece. I also love the paint job. In particular the rust looks very real. My only doubt is the use of a PVC plastic can. In my experience paint does not stick very well on elastic plastic.

I was afraid the paint wouldn't stick too but it actually does. I started with testors spray enamel, and then layers of airbrush using testors acrylic paint. I took a chance on it before testing it out. I figured that the paint sticks on the softer plastic for the joes limbs, it should stick to the soft plastic on the bottle. A layer of protective dull coat doesn't hurt either.
