gonna do a little something different this time- a walk through of my process of making a modern version of a v.1 air viper (a GIJCC original character created for the 2003 joe con).
here's the finished product

first is part selection and assembly- i had a good idea of what parts i wanted to use, and putting them together was pretty straightforward- an upper leg swap onto some lowers and a head, helmet and lower arm swap and that's it.
parts (a lot are originally from multiple older figures, i know, but i'll list them from the actual figures i used)- torso, upper arms, head- blue DG sake eyes helmet- ROC charbroil lower arms/ hands- 50th torpedo knees, lower legs, feet- 50th zartan upper legs, back pack- renegades ripcord

next is painting, detailing, and revisions
first, getting the basic parts painted (i love how easy black and blue are to work with) then some detailing and revisions- the hose from the helmet and the renegades ripcord harness didn't exactly work out, so i lost the hose and used some different web gear |

thanks, fellas, I appreciate it.
mostly testors, model masters and from the plastic multi color packs. I refill the multi pack cases with the jars of model masters, it really helps keep the paint from drying out. I swear acrylic will keep forever in those little flip top sections. |
