IM actually thinking of looking for some snowspeeders on ebay and hanging a few of them around his room from the ceiling like they are trying to get a tow cable on it. my neighbor asked me while i was building it if i was gonna put one under the front foot. I was so mad i didnt think of that, but at that point i was too far in to change anything.

This is incredible, really awesome man. Your son must LOVE it. I have worked with wood, carpentry, and the like, so i can truly appreciate the time, scale, and effort, that you put into this. YOU, should be very proud of it.
I have a question, i notice the ladder going up to it, but i cant tell from the pics, but does the ladder go to a second "floor" of the AT AT? Like bunk beds, is there a top area, which i would assume is enclosed? |

Yes there is a "play" loft on the second story. Hes got all of his starwars and gi joe vehicles up there as well as several containers of kinex and legos. That was kind of the idea of the at at bed in the first place and the main reason my wife allowed it, it added almost 32 sq ft. of useable space and hides a bunch of his stuff.
Excellent, great idea! |
