When I saw the JoeCon NF Steeler, I really wanted it. However, it was too cost prohibitive.
However, when Hasbro showcased the SDCC Steeler, I was really happy until I noticed what legs they used. Why couldn't they just use the exact same recipe as the JoeCon one? :( Well, I found a pair of legs that kinda match his green. It's a little off, but then again, factory Hasbro products have mismatched color parts too (just look at the new Shipwreck's legs), so based on that logic, these legs are the same green...haha. They were used on a previous custom and I had did some paint wipes on it and I regret that as I can't get it off. However, the nice thing is that as a tank driver, it's not too inconceivable for him to have grease stained pants. Honestly, the color mismatch is very minor and in person, it is hardly noticeable. My Chimera tank crew: Steeler the driver and Thunder as the gunner.

This Steeler needs to be released at retail kind of the way you made yours! Maybe repaint him in flat olive drab! I cannot stand what they did with that SDCC version; with those crappy ass Retaliation wave 1 legs!

The legs are from TF Lifeline. I had did some paint wipes on them in the past for a different custom but other than that, I only painted the boots black.

The lower legs they chose really bother me too. Lack of articulation and he doesn't even fit well in the tank with them.
These legs would have been much better. You mentioned wanting to remove the paint you put on? Acrylic paint will come off with rubbing alcohol. I have messed up whole heads before and soaked them in a rubbing alcohol bath and then wiped the paint off, a toothbrush may be necessary for detailed areas, but it works.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestion to remove the paint. I might try that when I get a chance. In the meantime, here's some pics of him in the Chimera. I mentioned he fit better but forgot to take pics.
When I get a chance to pull out my Mobat, I'll take a pic of him in my modified Mobat turret. Just don't have time to dig it out right now.
