Mobile Missile System.
The Cobra Firestorm was designed to defend Cobra Island from enemy attack on Land, Sea or Air. It is hard for the Joes to track where they are being attacked from as it is constantly moving and changing firing position. The Firestorm carries it's standard complement of two surface to surface dual thrust liquid propellant missiles and eight multi directional surface to surface low-attack missiles. The Firestorm can hold up to ten extra missiles in it's storage compartment. It also has a side mounted electric CMF-1 10 round launcher. All this rolls along on twelve puncture proof steel and rubber wheels that stop this long vehicle from being high centered on rugged terrain or debris. With a top speed of 60 mph and all it's firepower the Firestorm is fast deadly weapon of Cobra. This was a thorn in my side for a very long time now as it wasn't something I intended to build and i didn't know what to do with it. Originally it started off as a Havoc custom I was building but I just never liked it. So i ended up scraping that vehicle and using the parts I modified to build both my Greyhound and Firestorm customs. I have also included a picture of it with my Blue Slug custom (The other Thunder Clap Vehicle) as well as the Greyhound and Havoc customs. Custom features include scratch built side skirts, to fill the big gap above the wheels,a scratch built front ram bar, front window visor and custom headlights with visors. There's missile storage box in the middle with a hinged lid as well. For the back I used a Snow Cat rear section that was left over from the Greyhound project and added the Warthog launcher on the back. The roof mounted launcher is the one from the Thunder Claps gun section. I left it needed a small gun so I used a Ferret cannon on the right side. All in all I'm very happy how it came out.
