ROC Duke's head always looks cross-eyed.

The camo steals the show on these customs! I'd love to read a tutorial on how you did it.

I don't know if I'm really qualified to write a tutorial, but I will share a few camo tips. I used to make textures for the game "Operation; Flashpoint", and a surprising amount of that is applicable here.
The biggest thing is researching your pattern, its colors, and it's construction. Camo may seem like random blotches, but as you study each pattern you will start to see the "rules" each is made with. What colors touch what other colors, the size and placement of the various shapes, etc. The biggest thing I am still learning about painting camo at scale, is that you have to make adjustments in order for it to look good in such a small size. This is a good resource to start: Main Page - Camopedia The first thing I did was figure out what colors I was going to use. I painted a base tan, then applied a custom orange-brown. I then did a lowlight of dark brown on each orange brown shape. as you can see in the pic, there is also a khaki highlight on the opposite side of the orange brown. For that I added just a hint of pink to the khaki, otherwise it wasn't really noticeable against the tan at this scale. And yes, pink is a legit color for desert camo: Up next was the last to colors, the "chocolate chips" if you will. This is where adjusting for the scale of the subject really comes into play. If you look at my guys and the camo swatch above, you'll see that my chips on my figs are both larger and fewer in number. If I had done them at true scale they would have covered the pattern and drowned it out with what would look like a grey mess. Sometimes things will need to be changed or even eliminated to retain the impression you are trying to give. I put down little black splotches here and there and then dotted them with white to create the "chip" effect. The next thing to remember is the construction of the actual garment. When these uniforms are stitched together the pieces of fabric are not matched up. Wherever there is a seam, a pocket, epaulette, or whatever, your pattern should break. This also helps bring out these tiny details on your figure, which can sometimes be swallowed up by paint. I don't always bother with this myself especially on things like the newer Flint thighs, because sometimes its to busy with straps and pouches to bother. That's all I can think of at the moment.
