This "project" started with Bio-Viper last year and after completing Monstro-Viper and receiving a good feedback I think it finally gave the boost I needed to make the "human" side of this subgroup all in a row. And here are the results.
Dealing with the original figures as inspiration was a challenge for me, first because there some great unique sculpts and ideas in those figures BUT the colors make them look like ... candy? The colors are so mixed and bright and nonsense that makes it difficult just to identify which is the basic color scheme. Still I like my custom having a strong nod to the original but not at the cost of they looking awful. Anyway what I wanted was to still make them unique and vibrant but with some luck and hard work make them look good. Another challenge was deciding for the weapons, the originals are or too bulk (spring loaded) or to generic. I gave them what I think it could pass for custom-made-cutting edge technological weapons. Also every original Mega-Marine came with a machete and although I think hasbro did it more because they already have that weapons tree ready, I though it cool to give each member a melee weapon, because you know, sometimes you must get close and personal with the monsters. I am sure I had a lot more ideas for each figure while I was building them but enough of talk, any thoughts you guys have on them I would be glad to read it. The monsters ... The marines... |

Mega-Vipers
This guy is all about boots for me I don't really mind vibrant colors .. but pink and yellow? It never worked for me. I love the 1993 Alley Viper in yellow and black though then I added some purple to still make it odd enough and to give a hint to the 1993 Dr. Mindbender, which I would love to add someday as Mega-Monsters commander. High intensity led lights on the shoulders to blind opponents .. Leading the Bio-Vipers... |

Cyber-Vipers
This guys are the puny evil geniuses of the world recruited for Cobra. I like to think them using modular cybernetic parts, each CYber Viper could have a different configuration. Eletronic snyper with high impact pistol... Controlling the Monstro-Vipers ... |

Blast-Off
His weapon is inspired in the Aliens flamethrower, obviously. It can also fire like rifle. I think the balaclava fits the role and make him look bad a$$ |

As a driver of the APC I thought it would be nice to give Clutch a proper helmet. "Want to take my APC? Come an get it !" |

Great custom mega marines. I caught a few little things, such as Sci FBI's cheat piece on Blast off. These look great!
