So growing up, one of my favorite cartoons was Inch High Private Eye. There was just something so silly and outrageous about it. I remember getting excited whenever it was one. Fast forward 20+ years. After completing the Charlie Brown and Captain Caveman figures I thought about another Hanna Barbera property that I'd like to add to my ATR verse and Inch popped in my head. I gathered the parts and boom.
Detective Inch This was made from a LOTR figure with the lower legs sculpted and drilled out to accept Cobra Commander feet, hands swapped from some random fodder, and a head from Indiana Jones. His niece Lori. For this one I strayed from the cartoon depiction. In the cartoon she wears yellow and orange, so I updated her look, keeping some of the 70s elements, and added the yellow belt as a nod to the cartoon. Lori's "friend" Gator. Her "friend" cause you know if they called him her boyfriend all the kids would be grossed out by their shared cooties. |

This is really cool man. I remember the cartoon vaguely but can't say I can recall an episode. You are knocking it out of the park with these remakes.
Keep rocking |

Awesome use of that Bilbo figure. I remember watching this on the USA network weekend mornings during the early days of cable.

Ah.. nothing like a good ol flashback of the cartoon express from the USA channel. All of the old hannah barbara cartoons.. Thundarr the barbarian, the herculoids, wacky races.. I remember them all. With of course Star Blazers, Robotech and Galaxy Express 999 (still love Captain Harlock)
Great job on Inch and the gang. Is that a Dr. Jones sr. hat on Gator?

Thanks all. I loved watching the Cartoon Express, it makes me sad that my daughter won't have anything like that, I guess having her has made me extra nostalgic for cartoons from my childhood.
Yes it is a Dr Jones hat. Good eye for parts. |
