It's been a while since I've made a custom figure, but I've finally managed to make and finish one last month: Junkyard from the Corps! line.
I made him for a project where you had to make a new (G.I.Joe) version of a knock off figure, like one from American Defense, Bronze Bombers, Corps! etc. Junkyard was the first Knock-Off figure that came to mind when I starting thinking about who I was going to make for this project. Mainly because of his rocket launcher, the M202 FLASH (Flame Assault SHoulder weapon). I first saw this thing in the "Commando" movie and it immediately became personal favorite and desirable weapon in 3.3/4 inch. Unfortunately it never showed up in the G.I.Joe line. The Corps! line had Junkyard with a very cool card art showing an M202. But, as to be expected, the toy weapon itself was quite disappointing. So, now I had to make one myself from scratch. Materials that I used are plasticard, a straw, Greenstuff and a unknown gun handle. Head: Salvo '90 Torso: Heavy Duty '91 Arms: Heavy Duty '91 Waist: Capt. Grid-Iron '90 Upper legs: Keel-Haul '85 Lower legs: Repeater '88 M202 FLASH: scratch built Rockets: Backblast '89 Salvo's head got a headband made from Greenstuff. Heavy Duty had near perfect torso with the teared off sleeves, but the diagonal strap was on the wrong side. Too much work to modify that, so I used it like it was. The red tattoos were removed by sanding them off. Junkyard is the rocket specialist from the Corps, but also excells at communications and navigation. I can see Junkyard working with the Joes or even become a member and compete with Bazooka and Salvo in a funny way to see who destroyed most Cobra vehicles (like Legolas and Gimli competed in killing most enemies in LOTR). |

Very clean and well done. I've got a soft spot for the old corps dudes. They man my Tonka steel monsters.

That is just great! I love these ARAH customs. You might could have used the rocket launcher from a WHALE, only with some smaller rockets in it.
