What can I say about this guy? Nothing much really. After 1987 I didn't play very much with my Joes, I guess I was preparing myself for my collector's life. That being said, this custom was really fun to do. Getting the correct webgear was kind of a challenge, but overall I think it came out great.

I love it! I just bought my first ever Downtown for the sole purpose of using him to create a custom off of. Love the way yours came out-Great Work!

Nice call on the helmet. Using the Matt Trakker helmet and cutting out the faceplate was a very clever idea. Great looking figure over all!

Great work. I've been waiting for someone to do a custom Downtown for a while. He's the last figure I ever bought (as a kid). I bought him primarily because his hometown was Cleveland, but then he grew on me, even though I was never a fan of overly bright colors on my military action figures.
You totally nailed it with this one. Quick question... do they even still use mortars in our modern military? |
