Crimson Guard Blood Dagger Fighter/Interceptor custom

My newest custom Crimson Guard project. I started this one on 5/4/2009 and am using the 25th Target Python Patrol Conquest X-30 as the donor for this custom. It's going to be the Crimson Guard Blood Dagger.

added some pics of progress from a couple of minutes ago. Finally nice enough out to paint, rained all last evening-night through this morning. Does anyone have suggestions on what color I should use for the detail paint apps on the engines and cockpit area? What color are the jet engines normally, like a flat grey or german grey or something?

Just brought the parts back inside, going to rain again! That happened earlier this morning. I had just brought all of the pieces outside and set them up getting ready to paint, went inside to get the paint and heard it starting to rain outside. I grabbed all of the pieces and brought 'em inside before they got really wet, then let them dry off. I hate rain when you're trying to paint something outside!

Finished it today! Here's the link for pics of the finished jet as well as the buildup of it.

This is flown by the Cobra Elite 103rd Fighter/Interceptor Crimson Guard Air Unit and is stationed at the hidden Cobra base under Springfield. The Crimson Guard that pilot this advanced aircraft are the Elite of the Elite and have gone through Cobra Eel, Para-Viper & Snow Serpent school and training. These Elite pilots are known as Cobra Crimson Guard "Blackouts" due to the extreme G-Forces they undergo while in the cockpit of this mighty piece of machinery provided by Destro through M.A.R.S. Advanced Weapons Development Program.
(I am also working on a custom Crimson Guard "Blackout" pilot for this fighter/interceptor)
