I’m working on creating modern customs of the original 13 Joes, but I want my customs to maintain that classic vibe that represents the original figure/character. Here is my modern Sgt. Flash, the Joes original laser trooper!
I liked the idea of using a dark visor as it seems it would better protect his eyes from the bright “flash” of his laser rifle. His sidearm is a Marauder Gun Runners Glock. Here is my custom modern Flash and Grand Slam next to each other: My inspiration for the head I used on my Flash custom comes from the picture of Flash peeling potatoes, which was in GI Joe issue #1, page 43.

Both Grand Slam and Flash look amazing. Did you use a Flash backpack as well as you didn't show pics of the back?

It's shit.
Wait, I meant it's AWESOME. I don't know where that came from! My Tourette's must be kicking in again. Seriously, Flash has always been one of my favorite Joes and I've always been bummed that his 25th figure came with a head that looked nothing like his Marvel comics incarnation. I did a Flash custom and I use Agent Mouse's head, which looks much more like the pic you potato-peeling posted. The head you used is great, too...is that DG Duke? Anyway, it totally fits.

This is perhaps the greatest use ever for that lame Retaliation Duke figure. It looks pretty good as Flash and Grand Slam. Did you even paint anything on GS?
