Thanks for all of the compliments! I just added this picture of Wet-Suit next to my custom jungle assault Snake Eyes to show the difference in the NWU3 camo and classic woodland camo:

Perfection...I need to try the same because of the resell value is outrageous on Wet-Suit now.

I can only echo others by saying the original was awesome but your custom is better than the original. Is there a word for better than awesome?
Interesting tutoral on the painting of the camo. I once read, and it makes sense, that most camos you paint the base color and then go lightest to darkest color, but both NWUII and woodland Marpat cannot be accurately portrayed that way. Desert Marpat can and IMHO that no one asked for, is way easier to paint than the woodland Marpat. BTW NWU III? pfft, its Marpat modified enough to avoid the copyright and not have to ask the Marines permission to wear it. At least that is the USMC story. I am getting a little nostalgic for the old woodland though, especially when painted well like your other custom and the original Wet Suit you recreated. I was excited to switch to Marpat back in the day because the uniforms were a better cut and material, and frankly, the Marpat digis are pretty effective patterns. But every once in a while, I think man, that woodland looked cool too. |
