Thank you VERY much!! With Skuxxoid, I really wanted to update the character for a more modern audience. I'm very happy to say Flint Dille, the character's creator and current president of IDW comics loves the design. I had the pleasure of gifting him the very first print of the figure shown. With the Spike, Carly and Daniel Exosuit kits, I was trying to think outside the box and bridge the gap between G.I. Joe and Transformers-much like what Phantro does with CROSSOVERS.
Thank you. It means SO much coming from an artist of your caliber. I promise to give it my all when modeling these beloved Hasbro characters, whether it's a Transformers, G.I. Joe or Dungeons & Dragons character. I only hope fans of these brands will continue to embrace the program and support Superfanart.com when the models go live next year!!

You are much too kind man, your work is so astonishing I can't model the way you do not even by a long shot. I just re-watched G1 recently and I have to say I love Primacron, that episode has by far the best animation and key art in my opinion, the studio that did the animation for it was top notch and had some really cool action scenes. The plot was really awesome too, to me, it would have been one of the most riveting TF episodes except for maybe the end (which made it more hilarious rather than serious). Good memories.

This is cool, but I don't understand the license by Hasbro part. Is this like the licensed transformer labels I recently saw on bbts? Is Hasbro trying to control the casting and reprint sticker market?

Yes, I think so too-not just for artists, but for the fandom too. We may start to see obscure or overlooked characters come to life-characters that Hasbro could never justify due to the realities of business. I foresee great things for everyone. No longer will production be determined by project budgets or supply and demand, but by the passions of artists. I for one am a HUGE Dungeons & Dragons animated series fan and I intend to bring all of the main characters to life in 6 inch statue form. I've already started with Sheila the thief from D&D and the Witwickys (Spike, Carly and Daniel) from Transformers. I plan to make them "all" to scale with characters from GI Joe and Transformers. The collection will be a massive CROSSOVER of sorts. I am very excited and grateful to Hasbro for truly taking an amazing step forward. I REALLY HOPE the G.I. Joe fandom embraces this new venture and supports the program. Ultimately, its continued success will be determined by fans.

Yes Toei animation in association with Sunbow Production was a winning team. "Call of the Primitives," was a perfect example of how well they worked together. The art and animation was absolutely superb. Although the ending was a bit lack luster, it was still a VERY memorable episode. So memorable to me in fact that I created Primacron the creator of UNICRON!! Not exactly. Licensing will still continue for all its brands for the purpose of manufacturing goods in factories, but this program was created as a direct response to the current 3D printing revolution. My models were submitted for approval when Hasbro was accepting designs to be included in their joint venture with Shapeways called Superfanart. Hasbro has decided to venture beyond overseas manufacturing and has begun to embrace the potential of 3D printing. As the technology progresses, so will the demand. Inevitably, the relatively high price of both 3D printers and 3D printing services will drop. It's predicted that in 4-5 years 3D printers will be common place in many households much like how your standard printers are in homes today. Hasbro has already made it known that it’s in it for the long haul when they announced their partnership with industry giant 3D Systems in a venture to make 3D printers more affordable for the masses. With regards to the program, Superfanart initially launched last summer with "My Little Pony." In it, only a handful of designs were chosen, created by a few talented artists. Since Superfanart was jointly created by Hasbro and Shapeways, the artists were granted individual Hasbro Licenses to sell their models via Superfanart.com. Designs had to meet strict Hasbro guidelines and could be 3D printed by Shapeways. The program was a SUCCESS, so Hasbro decided to add other brands like Transformers, G.I. Joe, Dungeons & Dragons, Dragonvale, Scrabble and MONOPOLY to the program. However, due to the nature of what could be created for such brands, Hasbro wisely decided to postpone the launch of these newly approved models until the new year, giving the program time to finalize how these additional brands will be presented to the general public. However, Hasbro has graciously decided to allow approved designs to be sold by their creators, waiving its standard licensing fees until December 31, 2014.

This certainly is an innovative approach to toy production. Giving some free reign to freelance artists is such a great way to get the community involved.
