I can see it going either way being Flint or Falcon, but there are about a bazillion Flints floating around, so I decided to go with good ol Falcon. Glad you dig it! Im still debating on keeping it or selling it....not sure which I want to do yet.....

FWIW, he is a Green Beret, so in this one case, a beret instead of ball cap sort of sets him apart. But yeah, the SF guys typically do not wear the beret in the field.

I never saw the cartoon or the animated movie, where I understand that Falcon is kind of a douchebag. Falcon was one of my very first Joes I bought and based on his filecard, I've always thought of him as an old school "Hearts and Minds" type special operator. He's obviously a competent soldier, but with a specialty as a medic and interpreter, I don't think of him as a door kicker so much as an instructor, with good cross cultural social skills - the guy you want to send to the shura to develop relations with the tribal elders type of guy.
I could see him reimagined with a full beard and a mix of military gear and some native headgear to whatever region he is operating in. This take on him is very different, but very nice custom work, no doubt! |
