It's probably hard to find someone who hates GI JOE Resolute. I really enjoyed it. I just wished they could have added General Hawk to the lineup.
This is a sort of "What If" figure. I wanted to create a General Hawk figure that would match the aesthetics of the other GI JOE Resolute figures released by Hasbro. Right down to the non functional pistol holster on his left leg. As for the head, I wanted something different than the available Hawk heads of the modern construction era. I settled on the Valour vs Venom Hawk head and drilled it to fit a modern torso. It sadly ends up being a little small, not Wild Bill small thankfully, but smaller than I would have liked. But the facial expression and garrison cap really seem to fit the Resolute feel I think. Formula: Resolute Stalker legs and waist 5 pack General Hawk torso and arms Black hands from some figure, don't remember who VvsV General Abernathy head, drilled out to fit modern torso Belt is a modified Resolute Stalker web gear with straps removed. Shoulder harness are from Dollar Store Duke Backpack is from 5 pack General Hawk Hope you like it. Thanks. Last edited by Sgt Jugo; 08-01-2016 at 06:23 PM.. |

i like this hawk id buy it if it was an official release to the line. oh btw by saying what you did in your opening line you're begging for someone to come in just to say they hated it for whatever reason.

Really? I didn't see it that way, and that was NOT my intention at all. However, I did find a little know fact about Resolute and General Hawk; It's one of only 2 animated series or original video that he doesn't make an appearance in. In fact, here's the list of shows he showed up: GI JOE original commercials for the comics and the toys. Season 2 of the Sunbow animated series Season 1 and 2 of the DIC animated series Sgt Savage original animated video episode GI JOE Extreme (at least 1 episode so says Wikapedia) GI JOE Valour vs Venom GI JOE Sigma 6 GI JOE Renagades So if I'm not mistaken, that leaves only Resolute and GI JOE: Spy Troops as the only animated shows Hawk never showed up in right? |
