It's been a while to post anything from this series but I finally got around to finishing a Firefly figure.
Part 1 http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...ial-viper.html Part 2 http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...-part-2-a.html Part 3 http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...s-wilhelm.html Fixed the first link. Had the wrong one listed. This fan fiction has a few popular and some not so popular Joes. Some made up Joes and a bag full of villains. Also included is a bunch of Stargate references! Yeah {^_^} Part 4 ASSAULT ON THE CONTROL ROOM EPISODE CHARACTERS: ((Firefly in disguise, Cobra Sabateur)) ((Glass 1, Specials Commander, Glacial Viper)) ((Colonel Mitchell, "The Colonel", SGC, BASAIR Commander)) ((Beachhead, GI Joe, SG26 Leader)) --And more characters to view in other episodes. ---The comms buzzed and Firefly’s voice came over Glass 1’s mic; a familiar voice. One he hadn’t heard in quite a while. “Firefly to Glass 1. I’m activated.” Glass and his Glacial Vipers were still latched to the submarine hull. They hitched a ride until they reached the BASAIR glacial docks. But having Firefly reaching out to him either meant the mission is scrubbed or change of plans. “Glass, here. Why are you contacting me now? We’re not ready for you.” “Moving forward with the plan, Glass. SG26 Fred compromised.” “Roger.” Glass paused, thinking. “You know the schedule. Infiltration from the sub is two minutes out.” “Hurry up. I’ll get you boys ready here but the SGC will be on alert in moments.” “Firefly, that’s perfect. Get the gate ready for us. The plan just got easier.” “You do your job and I’ll do mine. Firefly Out!” “Glass, over and out.” He thought, this mission. Is going to kill me. A Glacial Viper spoke up, “Sir, wouldn’t having Firefly compromised actually make it harder for us to get in?” “It would be difficult, but Firefly has counter-measures in place. The situation is escalating now that our first operative is down. ” Now it’s all up to Firefly. Just my luck. The Glacial Vipers were within 1000 yards of BASAIR. The submarine had taxied them to the enemy base as the Trojan-Horse did for the Greeks when they fooled the Trojans. “Sir? It’s getting hard to see.” Ice began to form on their goggles and fog inside of the lenses. Visibility was down to half at this point. The glacial Vipers could stay out here for another hour but without clear vision and no way to clear the goggles out, their abilities were dwindling. Soon enough, the submarine docked and at any moment its crew would begin unloading procedures. “Ready!” The squad replied in unison with ‘check.’ Once the subs propeller stopped, the squad sprang to action. They swam to the surface, swarming the hull of the submarine. Emerging from the surface, they neutralized the soldiers in the docking bay with a couple of Gou’ald shock grenades. The sub’s hatch opened and a sailor began to climb out. Glass punched him out cold and dropped the last shock grenade down the hatch. “They won’t be up for a while.” They all charged down the corridors toward the Stargate Control Room. The dock was the only way in but that put Vipers across the facility and 5 floors above the Control Room. Speed is the key. Just get to the Control Room and hold it from there. With Firefly hold up in the control room, time was already out. They reached the Control Room. “Firefly, open the door. We’re here.” The door clicked and it slid open. The Specials (Glacial Vipers) crowded into the Gate Control Room. “Look.” Firefly said as he peered out of the window unto the gate room. Down below were the gate defense team, SG26 and the Colonel. They were scrambling around tending the wounded and trying to get out of the room. Firefly noticed an explosive being strapped to one of the gate blast doors. “No no no, little toy soldier.” Firefly exclaimed over the com, “This is my game. I have explosives spread out through the base at kill-zones for your personnel and structure points to collapse the upper levels onto the Gate Room, where you stand. Dismantle that bomb or I’ll blow the base barracks.” Down below, Colonel Mitchell was opposed to this idea. “We have to get up there. They cannot take this gate.” “Yes, Colonel Mitchell.” Answered Barricade. “Step back. This might take out the door and us “Got it, Barricade.” “You fools!” Firefly exclaimed over the intercom. “This is my game, not yours. I bet the base is on such a high alert that no one enters or leaves this BASAIR of yours. I’m betting that you have many personnel hiding up in the barracks. I’m sure the last thing they’d like to see is an explosion in their face!” “Barricade, stop.” Someone commanded. “But sir?” “He’s right.” A voice from behind came up. It was Beachhead. He was holding his bloody shoulder. “If they go through with this, we’ll find them. They won’t get far. I know it.” “Sgt. Beachhead, stand down! We will take back the Gate Control Room.” “No, sir.” Beachhead stumbled over to the explosive on the blast door. Barricade’s fingers were still itching over them, ready to ‘light the fuse.’ “You are defying an order, Sergeant!” the Colonel yelled. Beachhead pulled the fuse and yanked the explosive off. “We’ll need this later but for now, we stand down. I’ve been here before with this Fire-Fly. He’s been known to bluff but he’s ain’t bluffing this time. He will blow the barracks.” The Colonel was outraged but he believed Beachhead. G.I. Joe personnel were to be respected and treated as oversight personnel and not regular soldiers. They would obey the rank and file but for the recent galaxy of situations in the past few months, they were hand-picked to lead the SGC to a better path and deter Cobra and galactic enemies alike. These Joes knew what they were doing. They are the best of the best for defending Earth and no one, including another high-rank, will get in the way. The Colonel relaxed and took a breath. “I believe you mean rightfully so, Sgt. Beachhead. We’ll wait. I’m sure there are reinforcements on the way.” Firefly yelled out. “One more outburst from you Joes and my Glacial Vipers will zat the whole room. Then we’ll string you up in front of the gate and wait till you all wake up, then open the Stargate right in front of you all!” “I destroy walls. I’m not supposed to be the one disintegrated.” Barricade muttered. “It would be an instant death though.” Colonel Mitchell said. “Have you noticed how much time we’ve been taking, Colonel?” Beachhead gasped. “Take more time.” Beachhead smiled under his balaclava and then limped to the floor. Dee-Jay was behind him, catching his fall. “Take care of him, guys.” “He’s right, Colonel.” Dee-Jay whispered as he held the fainted Beachhead, “We need to buy time until we get relieved. As you know, we cannot hold this room forever. We have 14 men in here to defend it without weapons and next time we stand up to Firefly, he may not be so kind with his explosives.” Mitchell’s eyes flared with anger. He won’t be the next disappointment under the SGC. ‘How could this happen? We are better than this!’ ---- Back up in the Control room overlooking the gate, Glass spoke with Firefly. “Now that we’re linked up, we can move forward with our plan!” exclaimed Firefly. “We need to get through that gate, Firefly.” “Yes we do. But we also need to clear the gate room of those cowardly toy-soldiers.” “What do we do with this fella? One of those Airmen. They all look the same.” He said, pointing to the soldier at the console. Firefly remembered him. “He’s not of the usual BASAIR personnel. Same uniform but he’s a Joe. I remember most of their simple codenames. This one is Mainframe.” A Glacial Viper raised his AK-74 at Mainframe. They knew that GI Joes were a force to be reckoned with. Even one of them can dismantle a squad of Vipers. Glass spoke up, “Were out of time, Firefly. Leto should be ready for us by now.” “Agreed.” Firefly responded. Mainframe heard that. Leto. He knew exactly where they’re going. LETO is an Earth orbital defense platform designed around a large coilgun that can launch projectiles in space at stellar speeds. With that power, Earth can hold itself against invading space vessels; Or at least it can hope to. Reverse engineering Ancient technology is more difficult than building a large mass accelerator and deploying it in orbit but it was done with LETO. While the Cobras were planning, Mainframe got the attention of Colonel Mitchell down below. The Colonel tried to make out what Mainframe was saying in sign language. Mainframe kept his cool up there in the control room and spelt four words L-E-T-O. All communication in the room had been down and he couldn’t relay this information back to Command: that Cobra is going after space station LETO. In the gate control room, Firefly noticed Mainframe. A hint of a grin appeared from his mask as he took a zat gun from the console. He unlocked the gun from its closed state. Before he could fire it, Mainframe leaped from the chair and knocked the rifle from a Glacial Viper. The Viper struggled to recover but mainframe flanked behind him and grabbed his AK. He sprayed the room with bullets as he tried to control the Viper. In a flash, the wind was knocked out of him and he felt a piece of himself lost, like a dead weight. The two dropped to the floor. Blood began to puddle around. Behind blood-soaked eyes, Mainframe looked up and saw the smoke rising from their gun barrels. Firefly was split with two choices: Fire the zat gun again and instantly kill him. That thought of not letting him suffer any more made sense - to someone that has felt death before. He had another option, as a saboteur: let him croak on his blood when he wakes from his wounds, if he ever does. ‘Maybe he won’t wake up. Maybe he won’t wake up at all.’ Firefly walked on over. “For the pain.” he said before ‘zatting’ him. His body lit up with flowing electricity that danced over his body. After a few seconds, he passed out from the shock. ‘A second shot from the zat gun would kill him but that shot should overcome him.’ “Glass. I prefer explosives over knives because explosives kill instantly. Yes, I’m a saboteur but I can’t stand a slow painful death. Suffering in itself sucks. Suffering from losing my own…it is worse.” “Was it your family? Firefly?” “Nothing. Let’s move.” --- “Alright, Specials. I want flash bangs in that gate room in 30 seconds. Firefly, set your timer to 5 minutes to make sure we don’t get backfire through our gate.” Glass ordered. He paused, “Oh I almost forgot.” “Wha- What now?” Firefly responded. Glass typed below one of the main monitors and pulled up the engineering of BASAIR. “That is it.” “Were you ordered to? Did the Commander order you to shut the oxygen off when we leave? Or are you just a heartless snake like the rest?!” “I have orders just like you. Do we have a problem?” “Worthless-snake.” I’m the top Cobra agent. Why was he assigned something different? “Hurry up. We don’t have all day.” “Change of plans. Look, I also took control of the power grid a moment ago. Thought you noticed, Firefly.” “I don’t care. Let’s move.” “That should slow them down!” Glass shut the power to the base’s oxygen supply. “Whatever.” Firefly responded. He primed his explosives and walked out of the Control Room, making sure he shoulder-checked Glass on the way out. Glass definitely noticed that. A split in confidence and trust between the two Cobras will have to be fixed later. Or not. Though it is likely that the two will work together again as operatives. “You three with me. The rest of you rally on Firefly. Do what he says.” The rest followed Firefly and strolled to the Gate Room. As the blast doors opened, a body fell through the door opening onto the lead Glacial Viper. Barricade’s sleepy body wasn’t too heavy. “Still knocked out, Firefly.” “Good. Clear the room, boys.” The Special dropped Barricade and the Cobras checked the room for Joes in the Gate Room. Once it dialed and opened, Firefly and his crew were long gone. Glass closed the gate and waited. ”Look, boys. The so-called Containment Team will be here soon. Let’s not make it too easy for them.” ((Firefly disguised as security and a Security Forces operator)) Thanks for viewing. I'm working on posting more photos and have more figs to eventually show. Input is especially helpful. Hope you enjoyed this crossover. Last edited by phantro; 09-09-2014 at 12:21 AM.. |

Cool man I made a quick photo edit to one of your customs and placed it on your first post. I really like your story and I hope you like it man, it sort of is an example of what we were discussing yesterday.
