I don't do any of my own casting, but know plenty of fine folks who do, and also might have something in hand anyway - what are you looking for? Feel free to PM me, if you like.

These are my final version pics. With an earlier version, I also have him showing off how the weapon becomes a 2-parter, but also can be connected for one large bo-stick. Here also is his EXCAL story, and some of my thoughts. ----- It was Bruce Wayne’s worst nightmare realized. Not that his ward of the last ten years, Dick Grayson, had turned 18. But that he chose to use his birthday as an opportunity to go so severely against Wayne’s wishes by enlisting in the Army. It had been an ongoing debate at Wayne Manor, to be sure. Grayson (known by all by his nickname “Robin”) petitioning Wayne for a place within the EXCAL organization, and Wayne responding that school was the most important thing for Grayson at the time. Wayne’s job was no doubt a difficult one. He had taken Robin under his wing when the boy was just 8. After failing to come to the rescue of his parents, in time to prevent their murder, Wayne did at least rescue young Grayson from the same fate. But given his own history, he felt a duty and obligation to provide the boy a home and a life, despite being a very young man in his own right. The paperwork to secure the adoption was easy. Taking on a strong willed 8 year old, in light of his own lifestyle and obligations was not. Certainly, it was a task set up to fail if not for dear old Alfred. But while Alfred played the part of nanny to a “T”, there is no doubt that Robin looked up to none other than Bruce Wayne. It was a tough time for Wayne, keeping his alternate identity a secret from an inquisitive child. And the result was inevitable. By the time Robin was 13, he had a full working knowledge of the Bat Man’s operation. He was adding strength and muscle to his already wiry agile frame. And his intellect was being honed as well, not so much via the lofty private schools Wayne enrolled him in, but via the hands-on education he received in the Bat Cave instead. Robin had learned to assist Alfred in the repair of all of the Bat vehicles, and could manipulate the Bat computer like a pro. He was soon designing and engineering new systems or improving upon existing ones, in each of the Bat Man’s vehicles and suits. Wayne faced an uncomfortable dichotomy in the raising of Robin, not unlike that which was the theme of his life. He wanted to protect Robin, and help him lead the normal life that had escaped his own childhood. Yet, protecting a boy such as this often required teaching him to protect himself. So Wayne taught Robin how to fight, and how to fight well, teaching him techniques from each of the martial arts Wayne had mastered. By the time Robin was 16 he was an accomplished combatant. He took especially well to the use of a bo-stick, and he had grown in size and strength to the point where Wayne suspected the Bat armor would be worn well by the kid, if push came to shove. But Wayne tried his best to put such thoughts from his mind. This kid needed to be in the Ivy Leagues soon, not the Bat Cave. And the Ivy Leagues were certainly calling (amongst other schools – of which only 10 or so had any real hope of netting him). Not only was Robin at the top of his class from the famed Gotham Academy, but he was also the star of both its football and gymnastics teams, an unusual combination of skills that had ‘All American’ written all over him. Given that he had grown to be 6-3, 200 pounds by his senior year of high school, it was not unrealistic to envision a pro football career in his future as well. But Dick Grayson had no aspirations to play pro football. He certainly didn’t need the money of a pro contract, and he had viewed both football and gymnastics as nothing more than additional physical training for his intended career path – a justice fighter on par with none other than the Bat Man himself. Just over a year before Grayson graduated from Gotham Academy, Wayne’s involvement in the EXCAL organization became a prominent story in the local New York papers. At that same time, the Bat Man began to take his justice fighting enterprise from the dirty streets of “Gotham” to an international stage. That the freedom loving nations of the world seemed to be losing their war with tyranny was not lost on Grayson, and he vowed to aid the fight in any way he could. When he finally declared to his mentor that he would not attend school, but would instead offer his services to EXCAL, Wayne said (as an EXCAL Director) that his application was flatly denied. Believing his word to be final, Wayne did not realize the depth of his ward’s conviction on the issue until reading the letter left in his office from Robin, on the boy’s 18th birthday, indicating his enlistment in the Army. It pained him to give in. But if young Robin was going to fight for freedom and put himself in harm’s way, Wayne would be damned if he’d let him do it anywhere other than by his side. And with one simple phone call, Grayson’s enlistment was transferred to EXCAL, and he was immediately enrolled as a trainee in the Paladin Knight Program. ----- I struggled with the question of whether to add Robin into the fold – the beauty of this verse is that I can use whoever I want. And I decided that even with the alternate reality I’ve created, Robin is just too important to explaining who Batman really is, to leave out of the story entirely. I knew for certain I’d not have a boy wonder running around in tights and a mask. But hopefully this still captures his essence while also making him a touch more formidable. In this world, Robin is not a secret identity. It is simply Grayson’s nickname. However, when he evolves from his trainee status, Robin may choose to be a shadow knight, with a new masked persona. In fact, Wayne might require it, given his interest in keeping his own dual identity a secret (which gives me a vehicle for a future Nightwing custom, of course). As for this version of Robin, I’ll admit that I’ve really known no Robin other than Grayson, as my comic reading has largely been dead as an adult. But I know there to be several cool elements from each of the subsequent Boy Wonders, and I tried to some extent to borrow from and merge them into this one character. I hope that was done effectively. I really wanted a Robin that looked tough, but was not yet Nightwing. The bo-stick I made to be a two part weapon. He can wield it as-is in condensed form, or pull out a second piece for two handed combat, or can put both pieces together for a longer weapon. I’m open to any suggestions for improvement on this part especially, as I like the concept but I’m not yet sure of the execution. Recipe: TDK Wayne Head XMO: Wolverine torso, arms, hands, and coat Waist: Cobra Commander (25th) fused to torso Legs: General Hawk uppers, Crimson Guard lowers.

The long and the short of it - EXCAL has re-formed the Adventure Team, to aid the Science and Mystic Divisions in their quest for knowledge, artifacts, and for paranormal investigations (on rare occassions). Flint has been tabbed as the leader for the new team.
EXCAL AT Team Leader: Flint INTERNAL MEMO: TO: Clark Savage, Jr. "Doc" FROM: Maj. Tristan Knight "Knighthawk" RE: Dashiell Faireborn "Flint" To respond to your previous note, I must say yes, I think Flint would be great for that role. He's a born leader, he's intelligent, he's very capable, and his abilities in a fistfight might come in handier for this job than his ability with a shotgun anyway. I think he's ready, and I hope he is willing to lead your new Adventure Team. I'll tell Marvin (Roadblock hates when I call him Marvin) to look Flint up, and try to talk him into it, if you'd like me to. Only thing I have to say at all, is to remind you how far Flint went off the deep end after Lady Jaye was murdered. He seems to be mostly past that now, but I'll be damned if some days when I see him walking past if he doesn't remind me of the "Punisher" whack job we ran into in our last stop stateside. I think a new start and a clean slate will do him good though. I've even taken to calling him Dash, hoping maybe he'll adopt a new name as he moves on with his life. Let me know if you need anything more from me. --- INTERNAL MEMO TO: Doc FROM: Flint RE: Your new baby When do I start? --- I really wanted Flint to have a prominant role in EXCAL, but he didn't seem like Knight material to me, and I was never really comfortable carrying his traditional Joe look into the new verse, since most every established character I bring in gets an overhaul. This look is inspired a bit by his DDP look, and a bit more by his Resolute look. Since he's no longer a military guy, I figured it was ok to ditch the beret, though I may still try to sculpt one later for him. I hope the figure still screams Flint even without it. Parts: Head - Airborne Torso - Darth Maul Upper arms - Darth Maul Lower arms - TF Flint Hands - Wolverine (sans claws) and Spirit Waist - ??? Legs - Resolute Duke Feet - TF Flint? Harness - fused hybrid between Flint's and Res. Duke's rigs. The SWEET grenade pouch was made for me by GreyRyder The new AT logo (the old logo, in different colors, and located on a shield) is indicative of the new team's mission within EXCAL - to preserve and protect.

Here's another member of my new Adventure Team, this one is 100% original. I didn't do much to this head, other than mod it to fit and match skin tones, mainly cause it was so perfect to begin with: Code Name: CLEOPATRA Cleo Williams is essentially a genius, though she first made a name for herself when she attained modest success as a teenage pop music recording artist. She had no aspirations of making that her career, however, and quickly faded into the lost world of one-hit wonders. She got “lost” from the mainstream world even further when she chose to receive her education in the heart of the Midwest at Indiana University, with the hopes of utilizing that school’s strong international studies department. Cleo graduated at the top of her class, with a wide assortment of major and minor degrees ranging from several foreign language degrees (she is now fluent in at least 7 languages while working to master more), a degree in journalism, and a degree in archaeological studies. Her ambition did not falter after college, and she quickly turned her journalism degree, her brilliance, her past limited fame, and her beauty (her one trait that might surpass all others) into a field reporter’s position at CNN, with a focus on international affairs. Still not content with this job alone, Cleo used her rapidly improving resume to net a syndicated television series which put to use most all of her skills, including her linguistic skills and her archeology training in a series focused on finding lost pieces of history throughout the world. Her show (still in production to this day) is still a huge success and has helped cement her fame which was previously only fleeting in nature. As if she didn’t have enough to fill her plate, Cleo spends her free time maintaining her peak physical condition. She is a skilled diver, martial artist, and has shown to be a quick learner as a marksman as well, in a wide range of firearms. Oftentimes her job takes her to and beyond the boundaries of the law of the nations where she is searching, and oftentimes she must deal with less than savory characters to get what she wants. What does all this mean? In short, that she was number one on the list of candidates to be recruited by EXCAL’s New Adventure Team! Once the new project was greenlighted, Dash Faireborn, aka “Flint”, aka the appointed Team Leader of the New Adventure Team, made the recruitment of Cleo Williams his top priority. After some haggling (which includes EXCAL footing the bill for many of her excursions, even when not overtly AT related, and which allows for her to record footage for her show even while on EXCAL/AT sanctioned missions, the deal to add her to the team as an “acquisitions specialist” was sealed. In most instances, it is not even known whether Cleo is on assignment or not, as she operates in much the same way as she would be doing anyway. So it really was a no-brainer for her, especially in light of the higher cause she is now fighting for. With her given name, and with many of her past archeological successes having come from the field of Egyptology, it is no surprise that this new Adventure Team agent has been assigned the code name: Cleopatra. --- Recipe: Uhura Head LJ Torso Classic Ms.Marvel legs (they pop right on like that, with no mods needed), some scultping done for the boots. Darth Maul skirt Lightsaber-turned mic, with a twisty for a cord, leading to a recorder presumably within the satchel (from CG Lyra figure). If you look close at the belt buckle, there is a lens (the tip of a lightsaber) which serves as a hidden camera when needed.
