MSU44: Thanks a ton, I mean it. I hope you keep checking in, I have a lot more where this came from. DoubleS: Stone Cold huh? Knighthawk's a bit more sophisticated than that, lol, but I can see where you'd think that. lol By the way, the head I used as a base for each of the three versions was one of the BBI paradiver heads. ninjapleazee: wow, Kratos, huh? Even more badass than what I've made him as. lol

Next up is Deuce - he's a member of Knighthawk's team, but is not himself a Paladin Knight. The logo on the bomber's jacket is one "Borrowed" from a Millenium Falcon WWII era bomber's jacket made by Sillof (a Marvel Legends customizer on the web). I modified mine to represent Deuce's affiliation with Knighthawk, as the pilot of the KH's Talon.
btw, many of these bios were written more than a year ago and posted at Joe Customs or Trigate, or both. I never really brought them here as I saw mainly customs of Joes in the forefront until only recently. Anyway, if some of these bios are more sloppy than others, you can bet it's because they were written before my verse really started taking shape. ----- Jardin Jones is a former officer discharged from service for classified reasons. He was a poker buddy and former classmate of Knighthawk (from back when Knighthawk received his pilot's training). After his discharge, Jones was recruited by KH to join a mysterious new elite ops organization (now known as EXCAL) as a contractor pilot for KH's personal airship. His wildcard personality is likely behind what appears to have been a less-than-favorable discharge. His sarcasm also produced his call sign "Deuce", as he seemed self-aware that he was not the number 1 pilot in his own unit. His skills are top notch, nevertheless, though he is known for some unorthodox flying maneuvers from time to time, and is often in the doghouse with Knighthawk for the risks that he takes. Unfortunately, this code name lends itself to some obvious derogatory nicknames when Deuce is acting up. Knighthawk for one has taken to calling him Deucebag when appropriate. Deuce's sister, Jessica Jones is also new to EXCAL, with a specialty in transportation maintenance. Known as "Heartbreaker" she too has since joined Knighthawk's team.

If I'm posting too much at once, let me know. I don't want to overload anyone!
This next one, as I dig through my files, is a stand-alone EXCAL Agent. Not a knight, and not even on a team, as his skills are fairly specialized. This is Glacier. There's not much in his EXCAL file, other than this "letter of reference". ----- GLACIER: To: Oliver Queen, EXCAL From: Sgt. Harlan Moore, V.A. Medical Center, White River Junction, Vermont. Re: Reference Letter for Quentin White, aka Glacier Mr. Queen: I am writing this letter, at your request, but with some reluctance. I think the work you are doing with your new organization is fantastic, which is why I hesitate to write a letter endorsing a man that I think could ultimately hurt your efforts. But I know why you have targeted Quentin White, so I will hold up my end of the bargain. As I'm sure you've heard, "Glacier" was a Joe Greenshirt that was assigned to me, as he was a cold weather combat specialist. I don't know for sure why he picked that codename, but it sure as hell isn't indicative of the pace he takes in the field (let's call it "hasty" instead?). It might still be fitting though, based on the sizeable path he tends to clear in his wake. Anyway, some of the guys thought he picked that name because of that creepy, cold-as-ice stare he gets…well, he doesn't "get" it, he "has" it – always. When you're across the table from the guy for chow, it's like sitting across from a serial killer. But that creepiness sure hasn't kept the guys from poking fun at him. When they saw that bald dome (for a cold weather specialist?) I thought they were going to cry from laughing so hard. Then, when they found out his file name is Quentin White, I think the name Q-Ball came to several guys at once. But you know how most guys enjoy a little razzing, and they kind of come back with one liners that let you know, hey this guy is alright? Well not good ole Q-Ball. The guy has no sense of humor at all. He just quietly stares back until the laughter stops, and an uncomfortable silence just hangs there. I'm telling you, at a minimum that this guy is bad for morale if he's used in any group setting whatsoever. He's a loner, there's no doubt about that. I also have to say just this one more thing, and knowing what you know, this shouldn't surprise you. I think the guy is just flat out dangerous. I won't go so far as to blame him for me losing my leg, but he damned near wiped out our whole arctic assault team when the large scale attacks started. I guess you'd have to say that day was still a victory, since we stopped that Cobra attack (what are we calling these guys now? MEDUSA??), but the way he recklessly stormed in for a full frontal assault blew our cover, and the rest of the boys simply weren't as lucky as I was. As for his skills? I'd have to admit I would not want to go up against the guy. He's fearless and deadly. He'll do whatever it takes to get to his target - and I've seen him do some crazy things. It's like he thinks he's competing in the damned X-Games with some of the risks he takes jumping off slopes you just shouldn't jump down. But Mr. Queen, if you're asking for my endorsement, the best I can say is that as a solo operative, on critical, dangerous assignments, I think he'll get the job done. Just know that he will do so at any cost. Sincerely, Snow Job P.S. - Thanks for asking how I've been. I'm still recuperating, and I don't like being laid up. I guess since the Joes are now no-more, I wouldn't have a unit to return to anyway. Please keep me posted on how your new organization goes. And if you find you need someone to train your sharpshooters, please keep me in mind.

SHAZAM!
– A featured article by PFC Peter Parker, EXCAL Field Journalist and Photographer. Reprinted with permission from “Sword in Stone Monthly” Vol. 1. NEW YORK – “Shazam”. That’s the sound that then-Corporal Billy Batson reported hearing, when he was first examined by medics aboard EXCAL mobile Signal Station Alpha, located upon an unmarked freighter traveling in the CLASSIFIED/ Red Sea /CLASSIFIED last March. Cpl. Batson, an unlikely soldier (standing a mere 5’8”, and weighing in at a generous 155 lbs), on loan to EXCAL from the U.S. Army for his communications expertise, was forced above deck during a violent storm, due to equipment failure during a priority transmission. With the lives of his comrades on the line, Cpl. Batson proved his mettle and volunteered to venture into the storm to work on, of all things, the transmitter itself, and he found himself essentially encased in the metal components of the device while his effort was being made. That’s when it hit. SHAZAM! Lightning slammed into the transmitter unit. And not just one bolt. The ship’s Captain, watching safely from the tower, later filed a report giving his account of “at least 3, possibly as many as 5,” separate bolts of lightning, converging simultaneously to strike the high frequency transmitter in which Batson was encased. The yellow flash seemed to linger, longer than what seemed possible, and the convergence of the multiple threads produced what appeared to be one singularly enormous bolt of lightning. The emergency crew rushed to the deck, and found the transmitter casing, nearly welded shut, smoldering, and with flashes of blue electrical flames darting out from within. Cpl. Batson’s friends aboard ship knew that Billy simply could not have survived the apparent electrocution. They were partly right. With a deafening screech of metal on metal, the transmitter casing was ripped apart from the inside out. The crew retreated, anticipating a forthcoming explosion. What they saw instead cannot be fully explained, but will never be forgotten: Cpl. Batson - or some thing where Cpl. Batson had just been - stepped out of the smoldering metal. He appeared to be unscathed as to his person, though his hair was singed, his clothing tattered and charred. The jaws of the crew dropped in unison. The shock that “Billy” had survived was inexplicably replaced by the fact they seemingly weren’t looking at Billy any more. The man that stood before them steaming in the rain appeared as though he might have been Billy’s stronger older brother – if Billy had even had one…and of course, had he somehow stowed away for the last 3 months without being seen, here in the middle of CLASSIFIED. No, this HAD to be Billy. This…man…all 6’4”, 230 muscular pounds of him…with the set jaw and eagle eyes. It was a marvel to behold, no doubt. Little Billy Batson surviving electrocution…but then also witnessing the spontaneous transformation - it simply could not be explained. Much has happened in the 9 months since that night. Cpl. Batson underwent testing at one of EXCAL’s primary labs in New York; testing which has left doctors and scientists alike just as befuddled as before. EXCAL’s top scientists and physicians have no explanation for the changes that Batson has experienced, though the consensus is that the changes are not only real (obviously) but also permanent. Theories have been discussed as to the effect of supercharged electromagnetic forces on the human body. Perhaps some conductor within the experimental transmitter device helped contribute to a 1 in a billion coincidental event that simply cannot be reproduced. But even the slight chance of being able to reproduce this event has become a hot topic as EXCAL continues to wage its war on the forces of terror, who are equipped to some extent with super soldiers of their own. While the cause cannot yet be explained, the effect is apparent. Batson is now a near super human freak of nature. When interviewed for this story, Batson was completing his work-out at the EXCAL rehabilitation facilities, as he bench-pressed 600 pounds with relative ease. While much of his current file remains classified, it is reported that Batson, already bright in his own way before this event, is now fluent in 10 or more languages. Without any formal officer’s training, he has demonstrated knowledge, skill, and proficiency in the military arts which, according to tests, would rank him first in the class of officer’s training school…any class, that is. Nobody has ever tested higher. Based upon the capabilities Batson has shown, he has been assigned permanently to EXCAL by the U.S. Army, as the EXCAL organization is peculiarly suited to utilizing the exceptional talents Batson has demonstrated. He has been recruited directly into the Paladin Knight Program as a full Paladin, and has been assigned the artificial rank of Captain. He has shown remarkable proficiency with the cold fusion JUMP Pack, Mark II, and has been assigned to specialty team of air assault troopers, until his own Paladin Knight team can be formed. “Captain Marvel,” as he has come to be known, has already completed 5 successful missions in his short time as a Paladin Knight, and is certain to be the shining star of the operation’s continued fight for freedom worldwide.
