This is rather simple and minor improvement that I felt takes this guy a long way. It was a little thing that just felt off about him even back when they revealed the concept case version.
Im talking about those gray little ankle brackets that hold his missiles. All I did was pop off the missiles and paint the brackets purple to match the rest of him. I feel its more reminiscent of his ARAH counterpart, and cleans his look up a bit. Plus you don't even have to be a pro to pull this one off. I'm certainly not, and I like how this turned out, very simple modification. |

Looks great; I just learned, because my 3 year old son "showed" me that the missiles were removable.. Did you paint while it was still on the fire or did you remove the bands?

Is there a particular color purple that you use?

I used a regular acrylic based paint called red violet which surprisingly matched decently. Its definitely not a perfect match but its close, and hardly noticeable with the missiles on. I originally just wanted to paint them black, but I had some of the purple left over from a skullbuster leg fix I did a while back so i figured it as an excellent opportunity to use a color I never thought I'd need again. Thanks! Sometimes thats all a good joe needs. Last edited by sewnback2gether; 07-30-2014 at 10:02 PM.. |

Nice work. I think it makes a difference with the figure. IT is already awesome but that little detail brings it up a notch.
Thanks man! |
